Zordaq is GOAT for Persona. OEM is good enough for me as long as genuine OEM brand.

Guys, today when driving to work the check engine light suddenly turned on. Im hearing quite loud engine tapping. When I stop the car, noise is gone. Shut the engine, and start again, the check engine light gone.

Sudden spark plug failure?

Since i work as engineer, I've been train to keep record on all maintenance history of my car... So here I share the total cost ownership of the car and also mileage history yearly that I record base on my personal experience...

I have change all the parts related to handling for my 2010 Persona at Zordaq, if you got enough money, request orignal parts from Proton, it last longer...but the price to some people is premium...

On the side wall near your accelerator pedal. Should be ACC. Try to get one fuse tapper so you don't have to mess with cutting wire. If not confident, always can get it installed in accessory shop for like RM50 to RM100 on workshmanship, depends on area and if you need to install rear camera or not.

Can still scan for OBD. Some code will be stored in ECU without triggering check engine light. But if it doesn't comes back then never mind lo... For the record if engine knocking, check engine light will flash. Maybe next service can ask your mechanic for thorough check.

Maintenance and repair cost of my Gen2, also since 2011, I think around RM25-30k like that, calculated that early this year. Spent most on radiator fan and absorber (3rd or 4th set already), I don't understand why Proton front absorber always leaking oil...

Last year also spent a lot on replacing those lower arms, absorbers, absorber mounting, engine mounting and tyres...

Hi all..recently i changed the radiator cap as the mechanic informed its faulty.

Then starting 2 days ago i notice coolant leaking. Went back to workshop, they found that the radiator top silicone part as per picture is where the faulty area is.

Mechanic advice either change the top part silicone or just change to entire new oem radiator for a piece of mind.

Currently temperature didnt go crazy and often just hovering around the below just 90c
*
Better fast change. the pressure is quite high. two months before because of the radiator clamp hose faulty, coolant leaks and after repair, water pump burst. Then need to skim head. terus top overhaul la. mileage now is 430000km. Persona standard 2013.

correct fuel. the best is you can do 100km/h on Karak Highway easy. over 120 still got pickup. other non turbo 1.6 i dont think can do something like that.

looking for driver seat that can adjust the height and also rear seat that can be folded.

Yes, change it back 2 weeks ago.
Fortunately the radiator no leak whatsoever, just replace the tube on top the radiator and cars good to go again.
