Solved bro?

My turn now for rear bonnet leak. It's from the rubber seal and leakin stops after bending the rubber a bit and apply silicone grease.

Now constantly paranoid about it leak again.

Anyone have rebuilt their engine? Hope can share cost here...

Mine rear seat foot area sure will become kolam ikan after thunderstorm. Now have to take away all rear carpet. If not, sure smell bad. Lazy to troubleshoot, saving money to restore it one day.

Water got into the cylinders of my engine during a flood and caused some rust on the walls of the cylinders. I did a full overhaul with slight rebore to remove the rust.

Not yet fully solve, still got minor water seeping in, once a while just taken out spare tyre use dry rag to wipe it dry, it's not like previously accumulating until rusty.

Last time this happened to me it was wire at honk reput and putus. No harm to check.

At first tekan time the bunyi a bit weak macam mau honk x mau honk.

Then tiba2 bunyi hilang

My key drop to wachine machine and it is dead.
Try to open everything and let it dry.
Put back everything and press the lock button.
the red light on the key keep blinking.
Test open the door is ok, but after go in, it just suddenly lock the door without press anything.
When I'm inside, press the unlock button, alarm raise, cannot stop it until I use spare key press something again.
anyone got this problem? can it still be fixed?
how much it cost if make a replacement on proton?

few years back i replaced before. the controller not expensive. labour from proton expensive. end up rm100++ i think
But only repalce the board yea.

maybe u should consider look for locksmith to do for you

My key masuk machine more than 5 times already after replacement.

usually if masuk machine i open the casing remove the battery .
let it dry a day before using it again.
Still functional except the alarm button.

u can consider drying ur componenent before trying.maybe ur pcb board already shorted as u operate when its wet

2nd time masuk, dry half day, dead, too eager to try
3 more weeks will be my car service. will ask them how much to replace one. rm100++ i guess still acceptable.

The issue is due to a problem with the board. I suggest getting it changed at a locksmith shop, as it will be cheaper. You can simply transfer the chip into a new keyset, and it will work as normal. When I asked at the Proton Workshop, I found that different shops charge different prices, but a locksmith shop will generally be more affordable.

Hi all..recently i changed the radiator cap as the mechanic informed its faulty.

Then starting 2 days ago i notice coolant leaking. Went back to workshop, they found that the radiator top silicone part as per picture is where the faulty area is.

Mechanic advice either change the top part silicone or just change to entire new oem radiator for a piece of mind.

Currently temperature didnt go crazy and often just hovering around the below just 90c

If it's original radiator, and condition still good (no rust, fins not too badly deformed), it's ok to change just the top cover, provided you are in area still got shop willing to do radiator service.

Do remember to ask your mechanic to use distilled water/ RO water, or just bring yourself to dilute the coolant if you want radiator to rust free for long term.

Hi fellow owners, i've got a 2015 SV auto. Proton SC in KL advised to replace the whole link, bush, right absorber, etc coz my front left absorber is leaking for rm2500 all incl. labor. Does that sound right? Any other alternative/recommendations are welcome. Thx sifus!

To be honest servicing at Proton SC still ok
However if u want to replace parts unless ur budget alot doing at proton can be very costly.

U can consider finding workshop that can supply genuine part
or just get OEM parts.
My mounting,absorber front, absorber mounting as well as drive shaft is OEM product.
I rmb changing all those around 2k but not at one go.
Both left and right front absorber, mounting as well as drive shaft.

but zordaq motorsport seems to be famous in proton cars. they do provide genuine parts if u reqeust
