QUOTE(ZenGTMM @ Mar 3 2020, 01:18 PM) aftermarket ady cant help.. But if u buy aftermarket and stick tint, it wouldnt oxidise. If u plan to leave it clear, then can do some coating on it but the price will end up the same as Ori ones. My OEM ones lasted more than 4 years before turning slightly yellow now. Recommend SPIII instead of XP3. Last i heard got some issues with that XP3 ATF hence they stopped selling it. Oh ok Ori ones I got quoted 400 per side Aftermarket around 150 but if add tint or coat will cost around 250 and not sure the quality Better get ori Haha anyone got good experience with aftermarket?🤪

I recently just change brake fluids, its better but still abit lembut SOMETIMES.

QUOTE(inferno_17_85 @ Jun 27 2023, 11:59 AM) It's better to check for your braking system for the spongy feels. But Persona CM has been associated with spongy brake AFAIK. Leaking master pump is one possibility but you should be able to detect the leak at least from reducing braking fluid level. Another possibility is characteristic of your brake pad, it will feel soft if it's soft type. I have changed to metal type and the feedback improved, yet the screeching before reaching operation temperature during morning drive is just annoying. Jammed calipers usually changed one shot when you change brake pads. Maybe you should inspect braking line as well for potential swelling when you brake. All in all, get a trusted workshop to check. Better than guessing in dark. Ill have someone looked at it. I think my brakepad is Proton brand. not sure is the softer or harder type

QUOTE(dannyw @ Jun 28 2023, 09:10 PM) Touch wood so far so good. Just wonder quite number of people & few cases also relate to heat issues. My is idle vibration still not good, some times can feel like short of breath. This happened after change thermostat. Last major service, change ATF, spark plug, air filter, fuel filter and even spray to clean the throttle body but still not improving. Give up already, maybe last is engine mounting. how many km u change ur thermostat? anyway i did change my mounting did see much improvement on idle vibration. like new car haha

QUOTE(dannyw @ Jun 30 2023, 09:56 AM) Based on my record, i changed once at 77k, now is 150k. What's your mileage when change mounting? I did change once as well at 94k, don't want change so soon, not sure how long this car can last... 78°C, how to check the ignition coil? Mostly on idle, sometimes obvious sometimes ok, when drive is normal. I just monitor see getting worse or not? My current pending issue is Alternator pulley, start getting some minor noise on idle. Check with few foreman some say change the pulley after market, some say no issue, just the noise won't impact anything. QUOTE(voscar @ Jun 30 2023, 10:06 AM) My current mileage around 107k still on original mounting, already earthquake feeling but yet to change. Recently the radiator top water hose attaching to engine side got minor leaking, can see reservoir tank level dropped to minimum. I tried tighten the screw, but it gone loose again in just 1 week. I see the screw end very near to the timing belt area, so last week tried loosen and tighten again and move around a little bit, hopefully fixed it. change my mounting at 170k km. 8 years old car only haha

QUOTE(ask_dino @ Sep 27 2023, 09:07 AM) Yes auto, recently quite major, the aircond fan housing and its housing both cracked. need to change. Also, the aircond belt also putus so changed that as well. Then upon changing the aircond stuff, found out there is small crack at the extractor but nothing serious just very unusual noice. So planning to change the extractor as well later. personally more scared on the GB for this car. if no issue not so scary. my aircond blower got sound already (maybe bearing) i do svc my aircond every once and then (1 to 1.5 years) i do all sc couz i lazy run around except tyre alligment

currently my front mounting, absorber ,absorber link , engine mounting and drive shaft already replaced.
Thats all for now.

QUOTE(Steponlego @ Oct 2 2023, 11:50 AM) anyone aircond slowly become less cool? last time i checked was 2 years ago, let the a/c car guy do his thing, but cannot detect any leaks. car was ice cold for solid 1 year, now 2nd year it wasn't as cool as i remember. i was supposed to send it for regular yearly service, but too lazy to find time last year. just do flushing and compressor oil change. Now weather hot + not so efficient aircond sure feel not as cold. once serviced will be like in freezer room!. QUOTE(voscar @ Oct 2 2023, 01:15 PM) Just changed mine last month, already long gone and rough when driving.. I saw the new box is Waja, use on my Gen2 sometime when going through speed bump a bit faster, can feel like scraping undercarriage a bit... Your mounting looked better than mine

QUOTE(Steponlego @ Oct 4 2023, 03:49 PM) all these years the ac never got serviced, it was ice cold all the time. like really cold, proton cold level. it was just after i sent it to service it only lasted for 1 year +. that was after i paid the shop to full service everything. probably because i now use the car all the time instead leaving it parked at home. i drive it daily. what i can feel after service is that under hot day i put 25 or higher also feel dam cold. after 1.5 years no service i notice i need to put slightly lower than 25 to achieve the same effect. not sure is me or what hahaah

QUOTE(Steponlego @ Oct 5 2023, 02:17 PM) just finished sending the car for flushing. at first i said to the shop, car ac not as cold as it was. guy was a bit confused because it is already cold. said i'm not losing any refrigerant gas, so best thing he could suggest is do flushing, change compressor oil. 2 hours later, already can feel the difference, but it still not as cold as i remember - like hand numbingly cold. probably because i already got used to cold climate? If you want colder i think cleaning the cooling coil will help but it would cost too much. might as well keep the money till cooling coil give up . change a new one directly. im also preparing to flush my aircond system during the next service. last service i asked them to do but probably they forgotten.

QUOTE(inferno_17_85 @ Dec 19 2023, 10:01 PM) Illegal by JPJ. Like tint VLT, enforcement is another issue. Tried RM120 ish LED bulb from Shopee, doesn't like how the light casted from original reflector lamp, and it's not as long lasting as stated, maybe the heat in engine bay damage the bulb from behind. And 6500K light in rain is horrible visibility. Haven't got the money to try PIAA 4000K LED yet so can't comment about it. Went back to cheap and reliable H4 Halogen, use high beam responsibly for better visibility. i just bought bosch gigalight H4. not sure can last how long. Much better visibility than the stock cheaper H4 lamps can consider if you looking for something brighter . After bosch i will get osram nightbreaker
