i cannot confirm becos my home theater cannot do atmos or dtsx.

but i have seen a friend's system using q10pro with avr displaying dtsx for a dtsx track.

Where to get cheaper? It was usd1699 before launch and i thought 6099 was ok since i had to preorder it from senheng

Even if it cannot passthrough atmos,im quite happy with the performance. It might be passing atmos anyway. I rarely watch movies. More to gaming. Video quality is superb and i have no complaints. The q5 pro i have is much better than the mibox international which i sold away. Sluggish and cant play hdr. Too much trouble.

all q5/q10 pro users are very happy with playback video and audio output quality with native player.

more so if u play the big files... full 4k hdr bdmv's.

Hopefully the new model comes with 3gb ddr4 ram / 32gb, Netflix 4k certified, dual band double antenna, Dolby Vision and above all, Android Pie with Android OS TV for under RM500

My Q16 Quad is now collecting dust and sitting quietly as back up

More memory, more storage will be useful.
Not so much to install 1000 apps but useful for p2p apps.

Dolby vision, doubtful... this is only licensed to a handful of major cos.
Seeing how slow tv makers are picking up dolby vision, i dun expect it to survive.
Hdr10 will live n take some time to become mainstream before hdr12 kicks in.

Netflix hd will be useful.. not so much 4k.
Becos to do 4k, u need a 4k tv and just about all 4k or 4khdr tvs come with netflix 4k... doesnt need a box.

Your q16 is almost 5 yrs old, 4.4.2, cant do astrogo, cant do zaltv, cant do 10bit, cant do hdr.
But still great for playback incl 1080p bdmv hd audio... thats what i m using it for.
And it has a long life...

i quite agree with the comments.

as i hv always maintained, the local playback function is probably the best thing about himedia boxes.

esp playing back with home theaters with higher video and audio capabilities.

Zidoo X9S doesn't have Android 7...

I guess the comments were more for himedia then.

With android9 already launched, i will find it hard to buy anything new with android5 or 6.

with astrogo does it mean I will only need to pay one account? and the other would be using astro go instead of satellite dish? 2 diff location but same house

"HD" comes in many grades.

your decoder gives the highest; the app does "HD" that barely qualifies, with a lower bitrate, i am sure.

some channels r better than others. i will say it can be 576 or 720, with some others at 360, 480 only.

u should try it first b4 u terminate becos u may not be happy enuf with the video quality.

however, for those who already cut it, the app is surely fine... it is also stable.

I have the Q5 pro,an excellent equipment.Previously I was able to play Kino Lorber label.Since upgrading I get no sound only the movie. The specialfeaturesok. Why is that so?
