Maybe a bit tweak here there helps with the speed, provides reason to keep the old box... For me at least since it's the back up until maybe I buy another maybe Mecool KM9 if it's confirmed Google Certified and plays netflix UHD 😁😁😁

After video playback, everytime! Connection is thru Onkyo TX-NR656. TV is Samsung UA55NU8000.
Mibox is also connected to the Onkyo.
*
Hi, i think the problem most probably lies with the Onkyo receiver. Due to the NU8000 is using updated HDMI 2.0 function (i.e. ALLM, function from HDMI 2.1 spec), hence, the Onkyo is unable to process the video signal sometimes. See whether your Onkyo provide any firmware update to support the latest ALLM function.

I'm currently using the same TV model as you but with Denon X2300W with updated firmware (i.e. with ALLM fuction), so far so good with the Himedia Q10Pro plugged in.

Audio is surely impt.

The other feature i like and use a lot is the internal hdd.

U can do p2p like utorr or quasar... high speed can get u 30MBps... do 20, 40, 80gb files... all the good stuff.

No need pc, file transfer, copying...

I agree to disagree...

Stable firmware, yes!

Continue 2 Develop new firmware, not on the Q16 model anymore... Cos it's stuck at 4.4.2 now

q16 firmware updates stopped after 2.5 years which is not bad.

i haven't known any box that went from android4 to 5.

i am still happily using this box for playback incl BDMV 1080p and some light apps.

Q10pro is for heavy lifting! biggrin.gif

ya purchase this because of stupid old amp, cannot do 4k and arc
so I need this for the HD audio, no Atmos amp yet, and do 1080p to the tv
audio will be 7.1

no updates from nicety yet, so no idea when will arrive

facing a problem, I read it seems no 4k for Netflix right?
so I need to use my tv built in Netflix app
I have only one data port available for ethernet stability, so plug in to q10 or tv, then the other would need to be wireless

my take is q10 wired, as the file from NAS are higher bitrate and tv wireless

any advice?

dont want to buy another switch port if possible

think discussed b4...

if yr AVR is non-4k, the best is to q10pro->tv (for 4k, hdr); tv optical->avr (for DD, DTS only... can't do higher).
u dun want q10pro->AVR as this will cut off all 4k video although u can get dtshdma/ddtruehd.
common thing la... my second set is like that. biggrin.gif
only solution is to get new AVR!

netflix, better use the 1080p/4k app in tv. then with the setup i suggested, the optical will give yr AVR dd5.1 but not higher.

tv... better use wifi... more so if u have >100mbps speed.
becos yr tv isn't gigabit, will max out at 100mbps with ethernet.
wifi, u probably can get >200mbps.

nas.. i wud think q10pro wired will do better.
anyway... i already suggested tv do wireless.
no harm trying both.
