like other himedia models, q30 is not a netflix approved device - u get only 480p tops.

if u felt the picture was better than before, it is more likely due to something about yr tv settings, avr or simply diff videos.

q16 android 4.4.2 is still good for older, basic stuff.

but, can't do what q5pro/q10pro can:

.. 10bit
.. 4k hdr
.. 1080p/4k hdr bluray full menu
.. dtsx
.. auto frame switching
.. 5ghz wifi
.. astrogo
.. unifi playtv
.. redbox v1.2
.. kodi 17

great device for its time... but tech moves along... time to upgrade!

android 4 boxes are too old, can't do certain apps.

time to get new box.

but is still latest flagship model with android 7.0.

good for just about everything, at least for me.

Any insight new whether himedia will be release new flagship model soon or enchancement?. Im.olanning to get q10 pro but afraid new model coming soon

Not that i know of.

I really cant see what major benefits a new box will bring except...

A more powerful chipset, say 3/32gb... also better for p2p apps.
Netflix 4k, dolby vision approved which are unlikely.
Android8 is fine but 7 is not disadvantaged for immediate future.

The rest.. basically all there in q10pro... 4k hdr, 10 bit, full bd menu, astrogo, unifi playytv, kodi dd passthru...

If a new model comes out, i hope they dun remove anything working on q10pro!!

I have issue here on my q10pro. Everytime I exit from video, HDMI signal is lost. Need to power off and on again to regain signal.

Anyone can help?

exit from what video... what app or playback? everytime?

this smells like a CEC-ARC problem.

pls detail what TV, what AV or soundbar, what other devices... hyppbox/unifitv... how u connect.

After video playback, everytime! Connection is thru Onkyo TX-NR656. TV is Samsung UA55NU8000.
Mibox is also connected to the Onkyo.

since u r not using arc but direct to AVR, cec is not the issue.

i hv exp this problem once with my denon but i can't remember what caused it.

either the TV or AVR required a total power shutdown/reboot or a new q10pro firmware - what firmware r u on?


also, try these:

1. remove mibox, see any diff.

2. connect Q10pro to TV direct, see any diff.

3. check HDMI cables, all well connected.

from there, u may get an idea what's causing it.
