Player (HDMI Out) to Amp (HDMI In)
Amp (HDMI Out) to TV (HDMI In)

or

Player (HDMI Out) to TV (HDMI In)
TV (Optical Out) to Amp (Optical In)

or

Player (HDMI Out) to TV (HDMI In)
Player (Optical Out) to Amp (Optical In)

If TV no Optical slots, then RCA cable.

connect hdmi to AVR, then hdmi to TV for video.

if AVR is non 4k, u will not be able to set the box to 2160p... will be capped at 1080p.

4k videos will be downgraded by box, goes to AVR and then to TV as 1080p.

similarly, DDatmos or dtsx tracks will not go thru but passed thru box as DDtruHD and DTShdma to AVR.

is there a switch/splitter where q10 media pro hdmi out split 2, one goes into avr for audio, another goes straight to tv for video?

as described by OPT, u can get 4k videos.

u connect box->tv direct.

thing is, if u do that, u can't get HD audio - TV ARC or box coaxial/optical audio output give DIGITAL audio only.

99% devices have only 1 hdmi output and there is no hdmi splitter like u wish

your situation is very common.

unless u change AVR, u cannot get 4k+HD audio.

q5pro/q10pro... firmware 2.1.0... take note, from futeko:

The 10bit colourspace options can be restored in 2.1.0 by pressing 0 3 5 1 in sequence on the Himedia remote.

The diff is small or unnoticeable if using soundbar or low end home theater.

It is very significant if using full home theater 5.1 or 7.1.

Hi
Yesterday I tried upgrade become Error, nothing happened except after that cannot get connection to the internet. There is no X mark on the symbol, I also tried Wifi but cannot internet
Later i need upgrade firmware and upgraded again...also did a factory reset.
But still the same, cannot connect to internet. There is no "X" mark on the connection.
Please help thanks

u need to describe:

.. after factory reset, what is your firmware now?
.. what firmware were u trying to update to?

note that after factory reset, all settings are wiped, u need to key in the wifi settings, password, etc. again.

ethernet will be auto detect.

ethernet or wifi, check the settings to see if they are set to on, whichever u r using.

Hi, I just changed from Unifi to Maxis because cheaper, it is all OK for a few days and then the router got problem.

I think its due to that. I'll try settle that first

Thanks for help

update: Its settled, I use another modem as a repeater and it caused the problem. I had to set back the Ethernet connection and also on the Q10pro
What I did was key in something wrong and then let the auto take over to reconfigure it back.
Seems so easy....but it took me a few hours to trouble shoot blush.gif

Thanks again for the concern notworthy.gif

unifi is not turbo-ing fast enough and practices unfair pricing.

your soundbar... if not mistaken, cost rm8-10k..?

assuming connection is q5pro->soundbar->tv...

if the mkv file has atmos or dtsx tracks, q10pro should deliver accordingly to what u had selected as audio or default.

(but i wud suggest u get better videos than mkv for such audio.)

since soundbar has no display panel unlike an AVR, i suppose the only way to tell is your ears hear sound from ALL the speakers, incl upward firing ones.

dtshdma, ddtruehd will not give audio in those upward or downward firing speakers.

I bought it at 6099 before sst.during movie playback the options for soundtrack are usually dolby true hd or dts 7.1. No atmos selection or dts x selection eventhough the mkv have either dolby atmos or dtsx in the filename.im using the native himedia video player.
There is a panel which shows dolby atmos when my xbox one x is switched on. Im connecting all my source to the sound bar to get proper audio. The only thing im losing is the freesync feature in the xbox one x. Had to connect the xbox to the tv to get freesync but have to give up Atmos. Since without freesync its still ok, i wired it to get atmos.
