QUOTE(AVFAN @ Nov 5 2018, 11:03 AM) "HD" comes in many grades. can always count on you for answers your decoder gives the highest; the app does "HD" that barely qualifies, with a lower bitrate, i am sure. some channels r better than others. i will say it can be 576 or 720, with some others at 360, 480 only. u should try it first b4 u terminate becos u may not be happy enuf with the video quality. however, for those who already cut it, the app is surely fine... it is also stable. thanks problem is with the new fw upgrade, astrogo not working right? |

ya purchase this because of stupid old amp, cannot do 4k and arc
so I need this for the HD audio, no Atmos amp yet, and do 1080p to the tv audio will be 7.1 no updates from nicety yet, so no idea when will arrive facing a problem, I read it seems no 4k for Netflix right? so I need to use my tv built in Netflix app I have only one data port available for ethernet stability, so plug in to q10 or tv, then the other would need to be wireless my take is q10 wired, as the file from NAS are higher bitrate and tv wireless any advice? dont want to buy another switch port if possible |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Nov 9 2018, 02:07 PM) think discussed b4... just now chat with the customer service, they told me its gigabit hahahah dunno how true hahahahif yr AVR is non-4k, the best is to q10pro->tv (for 4k, hdr); tv optical->avr (for DD, DTS only... can't do higher). u dun want q10pro->AVR as this will cut off all 4k video although u can get dtshdma/ddtruehd. common thing la... my second set is like that. only solution is to get new AVR! netflix, better use the 1080p/4k app in tv. then with the setup i suggested, the optical will give yr AVR dd5.1 but not higher. tv... better use wifi... more so if u have >100mbps speed. becos yr tv isn't gigabit, will max out at 100mbps with ethernet. wifi, u probably can get >200mbps. nas.. i wud think q10pro wired will do better. anyway... i already suggested tv do wireless. no harm trying both. ya, I think I will try this, q10 wired, tv wireless, will place a mesh wifi near the tv, hopefully the signal is good enough |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Nov 27 2018, 06:41 PM) i think u r not using the native player...? 1st and foremost, shoutout for nicety , help me solve my streaming issue from NASif u r using native player with either native file manager or media center, a click on a bdmv folder will lead u immediately to the bd menu - u do not get see the folders or files inside. if u do, that tells me u r not using native player but some other player... mx, kodi, other nas player..? or... u r missing the bluray apk and/or it hasn't been activated. (this is unlikely if u had bought from nicety.) suggest u copy a couple of videos incl a bdmv on a portable HDD, plug it into the usb and play direct with native player. then u can see the diff, what u r missing, what may be wrongly set up... finally understood y I make the purchase of q10 may get another soon once I sort out my ethernet issues @avfan got it to work with the native file manager, only problem I'm facing now is certain files(bdmv), especially those with 4k and Atmos/dts X will lag and hang at certain time point normal 1080p HD audio file shouldn't be a problem and the apps will stop responding to pair this with a Synology NAS seems perfect, helps me get the subs I need automatically as well |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Nov 28 2018, 11:09 AM) i have experienced the bolded part when using just SMB wifi. it happens with bit rates >60Mbps; below that, it is smooth. my conclusion is my LAN equipment has something that isn't good enough but can't tell what... router, pc, adaptor..? internal hdd or hdd direct to usb, never had any problem. in yr case with synology nas, i wouldn't know much. try checking the threads below, u may find some useful comments. http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?action=search2 mine are connected to a gigabit switch, but it seems one of the data lines is joined instead of one long cable, issue may be there I think those are 90mbps sure hang btw how to watch 3D ar? I wanna try ler hehehehe |
