Hi,

I will take delivery of my SRC 2.2D AWD this week. I have checked the VIN. May I know is there any reason why the model year of the car is stated as 2019? Is that a good or bad thing?

Is the skytint come with cx5 a security+ solar film or just solar film only?

It's just solar film. Bad solar film, especially the front windscreen.. Got forummer called it paper tint.

Kek.. Seems like I really hit a nerve there and now they are trying to cover their behind on future sales by tagging current production as 2019 already.. biggrin.gif What's the 10th character of your VIN? Or better still, just post all but the last 5 or 6 digits.

Yup.. "J" is for 2018 and "K" for 2019. So if you are receiving it before 2019...IMO, means Mazda has started producing vehicles with future VIN production date in mind. Likely to avoid repeating the same crap they dug themselves into recently.

Thanks for the info sir. So is it a norm in the industry to postdate the model year?

You are welcome. No need sir all, I'm still young lah.. Well, I can't say it's normal for the Malaysian market. Except of course for sale in January 2019 onwards. Thing is, the whole tax window threw a spanner in the otherwise normal manufacturing flow and planning. So in anticipation of a slow down and not want to be caught with "older" stock and forced to sell at a discount, they be future proofing. Honestly, buying this late, it's a non-issue.. Just relax and enjoy the car when ready. Getting a fully built this year car but sold as next year's? That's where you should be worried. smile.gif but that's not happening in your case.

Same issue as mine. Changed to PIAA also still judder. I already gave up entirely. Thought forking out for an expensive wiper would solved the problem but no... sweat.gif

Hello to all brothers. I am one of the owner waiting desperately for the car. Placed my booking for the 2.0GLS sonic silver in middle of August.

I came across with this revised price list on FB cx5 owner's club. Seems that GLS price has increased by RM7k+ but not sure whether the revised price list is correct or not since Mazda official website still not updated their price list yet.

On the other hand, Bauto announced that they will ramp up their production to deliver vehicles by Nov-Dec this year and hope this would not jeapardise the quality of the car. (hope no kruk kruck or ngee ngee ngek ngek sound) doh.gif

Hi all, my car is arriving soon and I have the option to get power tailgate if I want for a slightly longer wait. Is it worth it for the extra 2k?

It seems to not be the type where it can sense your feet under the car. Operate with button press only.

Also, just a normal daily driver with occasional use of the boot space
