I am on a tight budget so I added an extra layer of Canny Cool tint on the front windscreen. Cheap and good and come with 15 years warranty. The rear and side tint so far still acceptable to me.

If you have the budget can always replace everything with V-Kool, 3M, Raytech and Huper Optik. Huper Optik should be cheaper among all. Should cost about 1.5-2.5k depending on tint specs.

Solar film tint usually is only 2 mil. Only security tint is thicken. By right, front and rear windscreen are not supposed to have security tint so that you can break them during emergency like your car fell into the river.

Initially I plan to buy the cover to protect the shift panel but I like how the raw piano black panel looks like. So I gave up the idea It's very prone to dust and scratches and I have to wipe it frequently 

I don't like either of those looks at all. Much prefer the stock look.. More elegant. Of course, now it's still pretty and flawless.. Thanks to no kids allowed in front and meticulous upkeep by moi...  Perhaps, in future when it's gathered enough scratches to verify unsightly, then I'll cove ritual up. Hopefully by then, other nicer looking designs will be available.

Different country of manufacturing. Ninja shades is from Taiwan if not mistaken. Samurai shades which cost 70% cheaper comes from Thailand. Both functions the same but I can't comment on the quality over the long run.

Your girlfriend is correct. I also feel that putting shades are ruining the look of the car  So I don't use any shades usually. Rather panas and sun light blind my eyes also don't wan use XD Opt for better tint instead.

Yup.. Some like the Camry Hybrid and 3 series, etc comes with powered rear window shades too.. So nice.

I thought the same too but no choice.. Felt too naked after getting used to similar sunshade on previous vehicle.. Previous ones used 3M stickers and cost RM3X.. CX-5's are magnetic and cost RM2xx..    Though, I must confess that these are a much better fit and of significant quality than the previous ones.

I considered that magic tint but figured it's too much drama and for all I know, one time it'll unravel while the window is going down.. Press to come back up and gets tangled in the mechanism.. 3M or Magnet more safer.
There are probably 2 versions.. But mostly I see (and using) is the magnetic one.
