QUOTE(akachester @ Oct 8 2007, 11:22 AM) Well, the 226BW is a good option after all. One of the best 22" WS TN Panel around during its time. I do agree with you with the newer model around, why get the older one if the new one is having the same function and might be cheaper... yeah. but i personally dont like the new design. i prefer the old design more than new design. but i will consider 2232bw in my purchase later when the price is right.QUOTE(stevenlee @ Oct 8 2007, 11:27 AM) if u dont care about getting slightly older model then 226bw is a good lcd. anyway i like the 226bw design more than 2232bw. |

Well, in that case, the 226BW is also a very good buy already. Its a very nice looking LCD no matter its the newer or older version..
Only if it was at the price of the Dell last time, i would have gotten it..Too bad the difference between the Dell and the Samsung are just too large last time... |

Well, i am using Dell as off now and all i could say is it is worth the money. I do not want to sound like some kind of Dell fanboy here but for the price i pay, its worth every penny. I bought it at RM849 which at that point, about RM300 cheaper than the Samsung.
Sacrificing abit of quality, i gain the extra benefit in paying lower and better warranty service. I always praise Dell for their great warranty service. At the same point, Samsung are great as well. I can say that their quality are way better than Dell when i saw it in person. So, its whether you can sacrifice the details for a lil extra or not.. |

Are you talking about the icons on the desktop? Dont worry, the icons will look exactly the same as normal monitors as long as the selected resolution matches the monitor's native (original) resolution.

QUOTE(vixxiee @ Oct 8 2007, 03:14 PM) Well, that really depends on the stock availability. If they are lacking in stocks, Dell will normally put a tag at the website stating "Extended Delivery Time" for that particular product. That will mean, it will take longer to deliver compared to normal..Anyway, i got mine in 4 days time after payment so i guess the delivery are fine. Best is, they deliver to your door step as well.. QUOTE(priesty @ Oct 8 2007, 03:49 PM) i'm planning to get a widescreen but was quite worry that the icons of pictures will look like get squashed. cant decide to get a standard or a wide screen now @.@ If you will be running on native resolution (For example, 1600 * 1050 for 22" WS), you will be able to see the icons fine. They will still look like normal. Unless you are trying to run normal screen resolution on a widescreen LCD (not sure possible or not though) |
