EDITED: I just saw this on the net Dell 2407WFP-HC Ghosting Issues? QUOTE Source: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles/dell_2407wfp-hc.htmThe model also features a slightly different panel from Samsung, their recently added LTM240CS01 S-PVA panel. With the new model comes reports of new problems unfortunately. It's not clear how widespread these issues are at the moment, and the situation seems more pronounced on some screens than others. Some users have reported them (with evidence) on their new screens, and many others are seeing no such issues. Black Ghosting Anyone have this problem also? i don think 226bw is bad but now samsung have new model 2232bw so ppl usually will go for new model instead of old 1.
the new model view angle is 170 degree compare with old 1 with only 160 degree.
so the choice is yours.

Well, the 226BW is a good option after all. One of the best 22" WS TN Panel around during its time. I do agree with you with the newer model around, why get the older one if the new one is having the same function and might be cheaper...
