i don't think msia will available for the L227WT cuz most of the country on their local distributor release the same model but mod their model naming & colours. i've look few countries that on par with L226WTQ, they really look "different" on certain spec...

LG Global

LG Canada

LG HK

LG UK

LG SG

2ms,
i searched the google, it seem is cause by RTC error,
it not called ghosting, they call it halo,
when moving a object in the screen, not black color at the back of object, is white.

damn disapointed to LG.
and the panel is from CMO , dammit.

LG also playing lottery game.
who get CMO , u may get this effect,
dun know the shop allow change or not?
god dammit u CMO.

currenlty i already take it back to services,
if u want to know whice fac produce the panel.

Turn off your monitor(btm right LCD).
Hold down the menu key on the monitor.
While holding the menu key, turn the monitor back on.
When the screen is on again, release the menu button, and then hit the menu button once.

Instead of the normal menu, a service menu should come up.

if u dun trust the data , u can try to restore the factory setting b4
view the services menu.
services info should be like this

Lx6WT ODC V 1.00
GM5822H made by ms_han
2007.01.30 19
CLEAR ETI >NO
AUTO COLOR > NO
AGING > OFF
PANEL >LPL22W.4
NVRAM INIT >NO

9300 R221 G218 B255
6500 R225 G245 B233
OFFS R57 G53 B55
GAIN R385 G387 B387

Tool: maniac11, kju77
Circuit: kevinlg, khoon, airpjc

if for CMO,should write something
PANEL >CMO?????, canot remeber,
more info
http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.as...MVIEWTMP=Linear
lot of them also suffer ghosting.
*
checked! mine is

L2X6w
TSUMO58 VER 1.80
070628 HSKIM ETI. 0

CLEAR ETI > NO
AUTO COLOR > NO
AGING > OFF
PANEL > CMO22W 4L
NVRAM INIT > NO

i'm on CMO panel too tongue.gif but after i read through the forum u gave us, some forumer said the new firmware like 1.14 or the latest 1.80 already solved the ghosting effect.

Added on October 17, 2007, 2:18 amgosh! as for the service menu panel thing is actually not telling which panel we're using sweat.gif xtknight at that forum said it actually showing wat colour temperature on specific panel. & we can change the panel option too doh.gif

my L226WTQ panel option got:

CMO22W 4L = Chi Mei Optoelectronics

LPL 22W WCG = LG-Philips
22W C1
22W 4L
22W 4G
20W 4L
20W CI

AUO 22W 4L = AU Optronics
20W 4L
20W 6L
20W 4LG

CPT 20W 6L = ???
20W 4L

i tried all the panel already, seems not much different for the colour temperature but only a bit "differ" for the colour to have cooler & warmer cool.gif
