QUOTE(sotong168 @ Oct 15 2007, 08:24 PM) 2ms, i searched the google, it seem is cause by RTC error, it not called ghosting, they call it halo, when moving a object in the screen, not black color at the back of object, is white. damn disapointed to LG. and the panel is from CMO , dammit. QUOTE(barry80 @ Oct 16 2007, 11:01 PM) weird huh ? i'm not gettin any ghosting or halo btw, how to check our LG is using which panel le? currenlty i already take it back to services,i can only check the LCD asset ID which can be view by forte-manager, stated.... [attachmentid=311771] if u want to know whice fac produce the panel. Turn off your monitor(btm right LCD). Hold down the menu key on the monitor. While holding the menu key, turn the monitor back on. When the screen is on again, release the menu button, and then hit the menu button once. Instead of the normal menu, a service menu should come up. if u dun trust the data , u can try to restore the factory setting b4 view the services menu. services info should be like this Lx6WT ODC V 1.00 GM5822H made by ms_han 2007.01.30 19 CLEAR ETI >NO AUTO COLOR > NO AGING > OFF PANEL >LPL22W.4 NVRAM INIT >NO 9300 R221 G218 B255 6500 R225 G245 B233 OFFS R57 G53 B55 GAIN R385 G387 B387 Tool: maniac11, kju77 Circuit: kevinlg, khoon, airpjc if for CMO,should write something PANEL >CMO?????, canot remeber, more info http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.as...MVIEWTMP=Linear lot of them also suffer ghosting. QUOTE(barry80 @ Oct 17 2007, 01:24 AM) checked! mine is i wan to say is default.L2X6w TSUMO58 VER 1.80 070628 HSKIM ETI. 0 CLEAR ETI > NO AUTO COLOR > NO AGING > OFF PANEL > CMO22W 4L NVRAM INIT > NO i'm on CMO panel too Added on October 17, 2007, 2:18 amgosh! as for the service menu panel thing is actually not telling which panel we're using my L226WTQ panel option got: CMO22W 4L = Chi Mei Optoelectronics LPL 22W WCG = LG-Philips 22W C1 22W 4L 22W 4G 20W 4L 20W CI AUO 22W 4L = AU Optronics 20W 4L 20W 6L 20W 4LG CPT 20W 6L = ??? 20W 4L i tried all the panel already, seems not much different for the colour temperature but only a bit "differ" for the colour to have cooler & warmer default mean the original setting from the factory. u canot expect that LGL factory build a LCD, and set the default panel to CMO22W 4L. the only reason that the default panel is set the CMO22W 4L is because that it produce by CMO. and the ghosting problem only happen when the back is grey and the moving object is red or other deep color. other then this, there are no problem for my LCD, when i play dota, no single ghosting. when i watch movie, when the movie is showing midnight(mean the time inside the movie is midnight), i can freq see the ghosting/halo effect. QUOTE(barry80 @ Oct 17 2007, 10:25 AM) i've google for more info about ghosting effect on L226WTQ, seems the latest batch don't have such issue exist already & i found 1 of the forumer able to solve the ghosing effect by applying different panel setting ya lo, i did try several diffrent panel setting, but not all, then i assume all is same,Dink Solved his problem - no ghosting effect anymore... maybe i to pissed that CMO and lose my mind, cos that CMO cause alot of problem at samsung 226bw, that y i choose L226WTQ, and CMO again. but i can confirm that i try LPL22W 4L b4,but still the same, and got other ppl say , it can be solve by disable the RTC/overdrive ,but not for LG, is for samsung. currently LG did not provide this feature ,let ppl disable RTC/overdrive. and some also say, just lower the the brightness, so that halo will not that clear(easy to notice), but now, i already take it back to warranty.
