Hey all. smile.gif

Just bought a Dell E198WFP. I jumped from a 15" 4:3 LCD to a 19" wide. IMHO, its rather perfect size for me. Because I don't have a proper table for my pc so Im using it by sitting on the floor.. sweat.gif

Btw, i find the screen rather bright. Running on DVI, the initial contrast and brightness was 75. Tried setting it low but it looks gloomy. Anyway I can get good setting without compromising the colors?

Oh, heres the pic of my pc and Dell 19". I like the thin black bezel, compared to the silver one (SE198WFP). The black somehow made the screen look rather big. tongue.gif

Btw looking at your siggy, you are using 24"? WOw, wanted to get it but was way too big for my setup. Sitting on the floor with a 24" is too tiresome for my already "4 eyed" eyes. LoL.. laugh.gif

It fully depends on which model you are comparing la. For IPS and VA panels type monitor, dell should offer a cheaper price tag as compare egg to egg on similiar samsung model.

Just wondering is there any tn based 24inch available in local market as I see quite some models already surfaces in oversea market, where pricing wise wont be alot difference as compare to those higher end 22inch monitor in the market.

Major difference is resolution, contrast and aspect ratio. Non HD lcd tv usually on 1368x768 and 16:9 with alot higher contrast rate

Got myself a Viewsonic 22" and have a noob question I wanna ask:

My RTS games (War3 and Starcraft, both w/o native WS support) turns into widescreen whenever I use them; so I'm guessing that it's the job of Mr. 1:1 pixel mapping, no? Anyway, I wanted to ask if there's anyway I can turn it back to normal screen because I find it really hard to play them wide?

Thanks!
