I donno much bout LCD.. But at this moment ..im thinking to get rid of my bulky 17'' Monitor n replace with LCD to save my workstation. So what would you guys suggest me to buy? I like Samsung..(d look) but is more expensive right? N what are the things that i need to take note if im going to get a Widescreen monitor.. Will any Games or Software unable to display properly in d LCD? Or will my old graphic Card (FX 5200 i think) support it? Go for normal ratio, or widescreen? what u guys recommend Oh yea.. my Budget :totally below rm 700... less d best..keke Main Usage : Doing 3dsmax, Photoshop etc... d accuracy of the colour is important to prevent diffr outcome when print out n viewing. Some say LCD colour not as accurate as Normal monitor.. can anyone verify this?

QUOTE(kianwee @ Aug 29 2007, 09:34 PM) As a graphics designer myself, RM700 will be really tough for you to get a good LCD monitor with acceptable color accuracy. The cheapest LCD that the color reproduction is acceptable for me would be the DELL 2007WFP. That would costs more than RM1k. If your budget is limited, I suggest you stick with your old CRT first. Do not get a TN panel LCD because it will truely jeopardize your work, especially if that's your living. oh.. that is a bad bad news for me.. for me rm 700 for a lcd is oredi consider very expensive ..Is there a way to test the lcd colour accuracy when buying? What is TN panel LCD? I notice ther r 2 type of LCD right? one is with the soft screen..when u press on it..u'll c d colour changes.. another one should be solid glass type.. which r best to get? I think i'll put widescreen into consideration... good for watching movie too..

QUOTE(dattebayo @ Aug 31 2007, 03:08 AM) TN panel LCD is the de facto for LCD monitors. Its cheap and fast response rate, but downside is lower color dynamics and narrower viewing angle than PVA or MVA panels. its very attractive, but you should search for some review first before buying don get it... lots of term i don understand anyway.. if i get samsung widescreen 931BW 19" = RM720. how is the review of this ?suggestion?

QUOTE(SimonsayZ @ Sep 13 2007, 09:40 PM) Hey all. Just bought a Dell E198WFP. I jumped from a 15" 4:3 LCD to a 19" wide. IMHO, its rather perfect size for me. Because I don't have a proper table for my pc so Im using it by sitting on the floor.. Btw, i find the screen rather bright. Running on DVI, the initial contrast and brightness was 75. Tried setting it low but it looks gloomy. Anyway I can get good setting without compromising the colors? Oh, heres the pic of my pc and Dell 19". I like the thin black bezel, compared to the silver one (SE198WFP). The black somehow made the screen look rather big. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « No regrets getting this 19" at all. How much u bought that Dell E198WFP.. Im also looking for 19" Wide Screen LCD... any suggestion?
