QUOTE(kianwee @ Aug 23 2007, 06:22 PM) The number of DELL users outnumbered the rest. I too would love to discuss about NEC 2490WUXi & ACD, but not many has one. The problem is one cant find those like nec 2490 easily on street, unlike dell or other retail brand such as samsung, acer, benq, lg and etc. I previously also scouting for the nec 26 2690wuxi but totally clueless who to turn to |

QUOTE(The Scent LYN @ Aug 26 2007, 01:42 AM) Well you can always check up on available online pricing, the price range is around rm1.3k to rm1.5k range. This will provide you a rough estimation of the price, else do you think those extra will come as free? |

QUOTE(kianwee @ Aug 26 2007, 09:18 AM) It is selling in australia for $999. After conversion it is more than 2k here. Samsung PC LCD price is always tend to be on the higher side. Most importantly, is the quality that matters. Well I guess different country would have different selling price, as its available for around 3600+ rmb in the mainland, which roughly bout rm1.5k according to some online site |

QUOTE(LittleLinnet @ Sep 7 2007, 11:22 PM) Not bad I would say. Indeed I like it more due to its size. Fonts on 1920x1200 on 24inch sometimes mights looks bit small and hard to read but on a 27.5inch screen, fantastic I would say. Also I would say this monitor is totally worth buying for its price, and all the tv connectivity that it comes along, composite, rca, hdmi, d-sub and 1080p support. Too bad I had no xbox 360 or ps3 to test it out. Maybe will give it a more detail review if time allow laThis post has been edited by sniperwolf: Sep 10 2007, 10:16 AM |

QUOTE(raist86 @ Sep 10 2007, 01:00 PM) Retail price is bout rm2.3k+, which I think consider quite a reasonable price. Below 2k would be bit hard la. So far in local market we dont actually had much option for 26 to 28 inch range monitor, where 26 inch one would be acer 26. 27 one will be dell 2707 and I dont think samsung 275t is available yet and price should be price even higher as compare to dell 2707 which is selling now for rm3999. |

QUOTE(ashx @ Sep 11 2007, 11:27 AM) I'm saving up for a setup to better spend my hard earn cash to upgrade what little quality game time i have 1st of all the setup cost aint cheap as well on this so call surround gaming. Let break out the cost as belowFor awhile, i was considering buying the biggest/baddest LCD screen i can afford but after reading the earlier pages, i stumbled across WSGF powered by Matrox TH2G. I knew about this company waaay back last century ehhe any how i forgotten about it. Now with its latest product, a LOT of games are supported for more "Immersive" gaming experience Anyone has on hand experience on this? Or bought of the unit? Do share. 19 inch lcd nowdays would cost bout rm650 for 1 so 3 would be almost close to 2k The matrox triplehead cost bout 399 usd if not mistaken and its equivalent to bout rm1.3k Also the power consumption of 3 lcd should be higher as compare to one Graphic card power required to render things at the highest resolution possible, 3840x1024. Lowest resolution of 1920x480 And by looking at the resolution, the image is indeed by stretch too widely. Also I dont think to see the plastic bezel of the lcd monitor which seperate each monitor, even if you line them up properly, where you still see the image on screen spliting up. For me I rather go for a large wide screen to had a more comfortable viewing then this. Added on September 11, 2007, 11:56 am QUOTE(Suk @ Sep 11 2007, 11:37 AM) This will highly depends on your usage. To me now its just look bit too small as I use my monitor as a tv nowdays where I sleep on my bed to enjoy all of my movies and series. This post has been edited by sniperwolf: Sep 11 2007, 11:56 AM |

QUOTE(ashx @ Sep 11 2007, 05:38 PM) some corrections 3840 compare to 1920 is indeed a quite a bit of view, but do remember where usually a desktop monitor sits, where usually in front of the users only. I try to put along my 28 and 24 side by side, in which I think should be roughly equal to 3x 19inch monitor sitting side by side, and I dont feel comfortable looking at both the screen together. The added up screen size is just too wide for me to keep my eyes focus on to all the time, at least that for me.It's 299 USD = so roughly 1.051k ++ 1920x480 is actually 640 x 480 spread to 3 monitors horizontal. And who the heck do 640 x 480 reso It's has nothing to do with the GC when you use this gizmo as it just display/spread it into 3 separate 1280 x 1024 screens of information, and displays across three independent 1280 x 1024 monitors so you can use it right out of the box with your current GC . Granted you would not get the highest possible reso compared to a real 28 incher but 3840 to 1920 is quite a bit of a view. Read THIS for some review. And the bezel thingy.. i guess it's kinda depends on ones tolerence. Do agree with you some points, wanted to know if anyone in malaysia tried this Well it seems that some unfortunately got the China treatment I dont think anyone here had posted up their setup using the matrox triple head but you can always be the pioneer to start it, since you look quite confident on it. And also to get it in local retail shop aint that easy, where I guess you need to get it through online purchase. |

QUOTE(zeist @ Sep 14 2007, 03:59 PM) It fully depends on which model you are comparing la. For IPS and VA panels type monitor, dell should offer a cheaper price tag as compare egg to egg on similiar samsung model. Just wondering is there any tn based 24inch available in local market as I see quite some models already surfaces in oversea market, where pricing wise wont be alot difference as compare to those higher end 22inch monitor in the market. |

QUOTE(Inoue @ Sep 18 2007, 12:08 PM) Shocking... DELL 2707WFP is now selling @ RM2999!! I would get the dell 2707 if I am you, from my own experience. Text to me on 24inch 1920x1200 seems really small as compare to 27 or 28inch screen. As color reproduction, I think both are more or less the same, as if not mistaken, 2407 nowdays used va panels like on 2707. And regarding the pivot, you can always look for an after market vesa wall mount or stand which able to provide pivot features. And if I were to choose the on the 24inch, I would go for benq 241w or the LG 246wpbn, as you can check up online reviews and users opinions on all these lcd monitors.http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/products/c...dhs1&l=en&s=dhs]http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/products/c...dhs1&l=en&s=dhs I just bought the 2407WFP HC Edition today @ RM2366 (5 years warranty + Delivery)... ...should i cancel it and revert to the 27" or the 2407WFP HC Edition is better for using Photoshop/InDesign? I mean apart from the (obvious) size diff (24" vs 27"), does the 27WFP produces better color? My main concern in the 27WFP dont have the Pivot (90degrees turn) option and the pixel dimension is the same as 24WFP (1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz). Since im not usinng it for gaming... more to design apps, my main concern is color reproduction. If you (or anybody for that matter) have both experiences with this 2 Flat Panels, your views in this matter are highly appreciated. Thanks! ---------------------------------------------------- huhuh... i'l wait for u to try (any) 24" Flat Panel (with good color reproduction) then i berani potong kuku ( tongue.gif ) u'l want 1 thumbup.gif the reason i'm sticking with my order for the 24" simply becoz my workstation table is not big enough to place the 27" + Laptop + Wacom Tablet sweat.gif RiVeR MaYa The base stand of the 27inch wont actually took up alot of desktop space as compare to a 24inch ones. If you meant the larger screen panel blocking your other devices, then I really had no comment bout it. QUOTE(zeist) It is true, the bigger the better. But if its too big, I wonder how can one see the screen properly at a close distance. laugh.gif tongue.gif [QUOTE]Serious? I haven't check out any 24" yet, will go and see someday then only I judge. tongue.gif Well not necassary. I sitting distance is bout 60 to 70cm away from my so call 28inch screen and I dont really feel hard to view on it. The distance is just ngam ngam good where I view the entire screen without turning my head |

QUOTE(grimdevil @ Sep 20 2007, 07:44 PM) Thanks... Bit too tough for your 7600gt to handle the 1920x1200 even with the low settings. But for normal desktop usage and movies, shouldn't have any problemSee the thing is that i have a 19'' dell now n am planning to get a new monitor...there isn't much diff between da 19 n 22 widescreen.. so i'm contemplating to get a 24'' lcd.... but i'm scared my graphic card can't support or i get poor performance from it... i'm usin a agp palit 7600 gt.. not a hard core gamer but i do play... So will i be doin the wrong thing by getting a 24''?? QUOTE(Spawnster) i think yr gc can support the native reso of a 24". i thinnk it's 1900x1200 correct me if i'm wrong. but to play games at that level....man...i think u need at least a 8800gtx 768mb. Its 1920x1200. 8800gts 640mb can handle with mid high settings for game, which I had experience with my 8800gts 640mb before changing over to ultra QUOTE(nocar) Any model that is comparable to Dell 2407 LCD with 178deg viewing angle? and hopefully cheaper smile.gif Benq 241wz, which sell for bout 1.8k to 1.9k. From users reviews, seems better as compare to 2407. Buying dell products sometimes is like a gamble as their revision always change. Just look at how many revision on 2407. |
