I thought most LCD will have bleeding problem unless its those very high end ones?

I think the bleeding problem just depends on how bad the condition is. Some are bad, some are not...

I think every LCD will have backlight bleeding issues. My E228WFP also have minor backlight bleeding. No big deal.

Oh no... Why so many Dell LCDs suffer from bleeding? Now I'm a bit worried sweat.gif Even the sample pics are Dell monitors:

Backlight bleeding is quite common among LCD, not all are as bad as those pic because the LCD shown in the pic is the 2005FPW - the most backlight bleeding LCD ever made by mankind.

Just curious, is HDMI equivalent to HDCP in terms of image quality? Both are digital so should be the same right?

With all the 22 inch hype around, imma join the bandwagon too. wink.gif Plan to grab a 22 incher soon, but i still got some doubts.

Like all the other questions above:

Does Nvidia drivers support 1:1 mapping? Cuz AFAIK Samsung 226BW does not have that function. goldfries mentioned about 1:1 mapping via Nvidia drivers, but that could also be due to his monitor (Dell Ultrasharp) being able to support it by itself.

Anyone got anything bad to say about 226BW? tongue.gif This sounds strange but i'd like to know what i should and should not expect.

Thanks a bunch!

You should read more about HDMI and HDCP. HDMI is a input, like DVI. HDCP is a content protection developed by Intel Corp. Both have nothing in common. It is like comparing apple with orange.

Ooo... I see sweat.gif

So can I compare between HDMI and DVI? Just between image quality since DVI doesn't carry audio signals.

Nvidia control panel can do 1:1 mapping using integrated function, just go to 'change flat panel scaling' and choose 'do not scale'. Then when you change ur resolution the display size will fixed with the resolution that you changed.Anyway,Samsung 226bw can be cosidered as among the best monitor in 22'inch widescreen category, anyway i got nothing bad to say about 226bw. Dont compare this with dell ultrasharp monitor as samsung is using TN panel.

DVI is actually HDMI without audio signal, and it uses a different design connector. Data encoding algorithm is the same, thus you get same image quality.
