Strange, I got mine on the 3rd days right after I ordered it via internet. Delivery is fast and efficient. Received the unit and condition is excellent without dead/stuck pixels. smile.gif

I don't think you will need to update any VGA driver at first. Just hook up your monitor and your VGA card will display the native resolution of your monitor. I switched from Samsung 172x to E228WFP without updating the VGA driver. Don't worry nonadoes, it will be a smooth transition. Just plug, play and view tongue.gif

Ants?Still alive?

I think you better call Dell and ask them to rectify the problem there...

It's not DELL's fault. I've been using the monitor for quite sometimes already. The ant is still alive and fortunately it went away tongue.gif I guess most likely its the design flaw whereby they did not seal the LCD panel tight to prevent ants from crawling into the panel. doh.gif Never faced such problem with my old samsung 172x.

Where can I find my service tag code for DELL E228WFP LCD Monitor?

In order to prevent ants from entering the LCD panel, I've sticked double sided tape on the monitor's cables and stand. Hope if there are creepy crawler that wants to crawl inside my monitor will get stuck by the tape tongue.gif

erm. bad idea man, it'll cause dust to stick on it over time..and you'll have a hell of a time trying to remove it. Not to mention the marks it'll leave.

just keep your workbench clean.. that's a good way to keep insects away.

Well. its ok. It is better to remove the double sided tape once in awhile rather than having an ant moving around inside your LCD panel screen tongue.gif
