I hope this is the right place to ask...

Can someone recommend me a 19" LCD below RM650? Preferably if it's widescreen. I'm thinking of getting Viewsonic since the price is just RM599, any good? Or are there better brands/models for this price range?

Thanks a bunch notworthy.gif

So if I view directly should be no problem right? The colours okay?

By the way, everyone seems to recommend Dell, but what about Viewsonic and BenQ? Both of them also around that price hmm.gif

Dell LCDs come with any cables? Because DVI cable costs about RM90 le sweat.gif

No serious banding issues with the Dell right? I hope no bleeding problem as well, simply hate that... Makes the LCD look cheap laugh.gif

Steven, how come you bought RM609 only? The price for the SE model is RM639, price raise for Merdeka wacko.gif

I also want the Black model (Which is cheaper as well tongue.gif ), my whole rig is black in colour. But cannot find on Dell website. SE is also entry model right, and S stands for silver? blink.gif

You still have/remember the E-Value code for the black one? biggrin.gif

Finally found that model, thanks! But it's priced at RM669 doh.gif

How long does Dell offers usually last? Scared when I wanna order tomorrow, the promotion is gone. But then, what if I order today and tomorrow the price drops rclxub.gif

As long as the price won't drop within a week then should be okay tongue.gif After a month, I won't mind as the same thing happens to handphone as well... But today and 1 month later it's cheaper by RM20-RM50 laugh.gif

I bought the silver one by the way biggrin.gif

Oh no... Why so many Dell LCDs suffer from bleeding? Now I'm a bit worried sweat.gif Even the sample pics are Dell monitors:

Just curious, is HDMI equivalent to HDCP in terms of image quality? Both are digital so should be the same right?

Ooo... I see sweat.gif

So can I compare between HDMI and DVI? Just between image quality since DVI doesn't carry audio signals.

DVI is actually HDMI without audio signal, and it uses a different design connector. Data encoding algorithm is the same, thus you get same image quality.

Okie, thanks notworthy.gif

My Dell finally arrived, and yes, it comes with both VGA and DVI cables.

Picture quality, I would say it's great for just RM639 with shipping and 3 years warranty thumbup.gif Now running at 1440x900@75Hz, DVI.

Big thanks to all who helped me pick this great monitor, no regrets rclxm9.gif

Added on August 24, 2007, 8:11 pmBy the way, can Dell users share your settings with me? I'm currently using Multimedia Preset with Brightness@50 and Contrast@75.

The Normal Preset looks a bit blueish so I chose Multimedia which seems to be neutral.
