Screen protectors? You mean those stick-on ones like for handphones?

yeap

I have asked some shops before, but they don't sell such screen protector for LCD screen. You can clean the screen by using some screen cleaning liquid and wipe it with soft cloth if the screen is dirty or got many fingerprints on it.

too bad. kinda lazy to clean up the LCD screen everyday. sweat.gif

AFAIK, having screen protector doesnt protect your LCD from dust. Only from scratches.

The MAJOR difference is, WS comes in 16:10 or 16:9 ratio, whereas normal screen is either 4:3 or 5:4

if you look closely

the 22"wide is actually a 17" normal lcd

just that it is strech sideway giving it a 22" size...

thus, you get more real estate on 22" normal vs 22" wide

i dun think there is any normal 22" available..
mostly starting from 22" and above, the resolution is widescreen smile.gif

and from my POV, widescreen is much better..
for more information, perhaps goldfries or kianwee can answer on that smile.gif

Human eyes are meant to see wide, thus getting a widescreen is better. 4:3/5:4 screen is slowly becoming unpopular now. Once you go wide, there is no turning back! laugh.gif

Really arr??

My old X2 Gen is 19" and I'm using DELL 228WFP now.

The screen height of my 228WFP is about the same with my old 19" normal screen. Well... only 1 to 2 cm difference but I think that is because the 19" plastic make is bigger and thicker than the 22".

Anyway.. I'm enjoying my 22" very much. thumbup.gif

Those who wonder what panel the Dell 2407WFP-HC, CNET seems to have some info on it.

"The 2407WFP-HC uses Samsung's brand new LTM240CS01 S-PVA panel."

imagine now all movie resolution are in widescreen, and you want one 4:3 monitor ?
HD, widescreen gaming, widescreen is the one which rules now

Workstation, viewing 2 A4 size documents side by side with one 22" wide. Or perhaps surfing web using 2 windows side by side... how sweet
Can it be done using 4:3 22" ?

For me, I think that 19" wide LCD is only close to the height of 17" CRT!
And 20" wide LCD close to 17" LCD... that my opinion la hmm.gif

19" wide's height is roughly 1.5 cm shorter than 17" normal LCD (so its roughly same to 17" in CRT lor)

20.1" wide height is equal to 17" normal LCD

22" wide height is a little lesser than 19" normal LCD
