is there anyway to disable throttling when using battery?
it started throttling at 50%

i7-8750h Onyx GTX1060

When using battery, your laptop don't have enough power input, that's why throttling.

is onyx pro any good? I prefer the tactile keyboard instead of the mechanical. What is the TDP for the RTX 3070 btw....what about the thermal and performance for those who owns it.

1st gen Onyx owner here, the cooling and power still strong to handle latest games.

Rtx3070 TDP is 115w to 140w.

Anyone know a good and reputable laptop repair shop who does motherboard or cpu/gpu repair?

My laptop gpu is showing error code 43, did everything i could but still no chance.
Contacted illegear and they said gpu faulty, need to send back to manufacturer to repair. Would like to know if there's other place to fix, to save cost and time too. :'((

buy a new laptop then resell the old one when fixed... hahaha... thats the least downtime method. i hate when my laptop dies on me, so inconvenient.

if i had the money to do so... it's still usable but a gaming laptop without dedicated gpu has no soul and pretty much useless also I do render videos and 3d stuffs some times

Hi guys, I'm planning to buy the Onyx Pro and I'm a bit curious on the "in-house" parts they're using in the Customization menu.
For example, in the Solid State Drive section, we have an option to have Samsung (PM981a or PM991) and the other non-branded one. Another example is the RAM section.
Can anyone who have Onyx Pro already please share the actual specs? Something like a screenshot from HWMonitor perhaps.

Few people will reject the free 1TB Samsung PM991 MZVLQ1T0HALB upgrade. If you go along with the free gift, they gonna give you exactly that.
As for the non-branded one, few people outside of Illegear would know.

This is the worst laptop and company I encountered.

I told them I will be in KL and come to your service centre to claim battery and they told me to come on Thursday due to Wednesday they had stock take.

When I arranged to come on Thursday and reached their service centre, they told me no stock on the battery.

I scold them immediately because I have WhatsApp them with prior arrangement but they were quiet without reply.

So I am very hot

Appreciated for your assistant to help to replace the battery on the spot after certain voice up on the response given by your team when I was told that there were no stocks on the battery and need to wait for 1 day to arrive against the no replies (quiet) from the Whatsapp whereby I have indicated that I will be visiting today and my intention is to replace battery on the spot or at the same day to allow me bring back to Penang without the need to courier.

If there is no stocks or else, I wish I could be informed over the Whatsapp and not just quiet over there until I reached and I was told otherwise. If I didn't raise my voice and concern, I think I won't get back replacement on the spot.

Anyhow, these all are my experience throughout the whole process and I would say all are not good since the first day of buying this brand especially the delays in delivering the laptop.

I hope improvement can be made so you won't lost your share market.

Inm thinking of upgrading to the onyx G with ryzen 7 and rtx3070.

Is illegear a good quality laptop brand? How often do u encounter issues with your laptop hardware wise?

Currently using dell inspiron from 2015 iirc, so far the laptop quAlity is superb, but nowadays sometimes encounter software instability. Other than that its been good. Wanna upgrade coz gtx1050ti cant do shit now

One more thing, hows thr after sales service of illegear, like parts availability and speed ?
