Got myself an ONYX V (RTX30) around May last year. Was doing ok, but then recently started having
A. Just a black screen when left to idle for a while - no response to button press, power button still on, can still hear fan running, but the only way to trigger response is to force shutdown and restart
B. BSOD, usually tied to the AMD driver. Tried to ask for help from the WA helpline, essentially told to reformat my PC, which seems so ridiculous. I point out problem might be related to TPM, get told that the only way to disable TPM is to disable SecureBoot???

Already checked memory, did a clean reinstall of the chipset driver, GPU driver, latest updates all done, still having black screen if left for idle. Sometimes it will just become black screen during active use.

Very annoyed with it now.

I'm tempted to ask Illegear to take a look, but I am worried it'll just be a reformat then send back to me kinda deal, which is something that has happened to me before with bigger corps.

I have a problem with usb hub that is connected to the usb type C port.

The problem is that the usb type C is always on. Even when I shutdown or hibernate or sleep. For those other usb type A ports, they are power off when I shutdown or hibernate. They are power on when in sleep mode.

I saw of posts on internet that there are PCs which have CMOS settings for it, called "usb always on". But I cannot find such settings in my pc CMOS.

I want the type C port to be off when I hibernate or shutdown.

There is such a setting on my illegear command center, but it only applies to those type A usb ports. The type C port is unaffected by this setting, it is always on.

This is similar to that Lenovo PC :-

Bought from TaoBao at RM189.55, RM11.50 for shipping using 3rd party forwarder. Illegear quoted me RM450 for the battery replacement.

Is the battery compatible with Onyx 1060? Or does anyone know which one to get from Taobao?

darn it.. went home from work today and turned on my Onyx Pro to find out that somehow the monitor doesn't work...
weirdly the secondary monitor that's plugged to it via HDMI displays everything just fine... ohmy.gif

when I look at the Device Manager, it seems like the laptop can't detect its own monitor...
tried restarting, re-installing display drivers, etc but if I unplug the secondary monitor, nothing happens to the laptop monitor...
seems like I need to visit the service center... grumble.gif

just an update to my Onyx Pro display issue..
brought the laptop to Illegear's service center at Oval Damansara on Friday afternoon and fortunately I'm still under warranty..
left it there then and yesterday morning they contacted me saying that it's fixed..
so now it's back again with me only after what seems to be 1.5 working days of service.. nice.. thumbsup.gif

Good for you. icon_rolleyes.gif
I left my Selenite with them for a week, asked them to fix GPU Power Limit Throttling issue which I've been reporting for more than 2 years and replace the laptop if they can't fix it. They didn't even open it till I went back after a week, had the audacity to tell me that there might be a motherboard issue and won't replace the laptop despite the fact they didn't do jack sh*t in these 2 years.

I reported the issues when they started occurring barely 10 months after purchase. Since the world went into lockdown and I wasn't able to travel, so I asked when they'd be able to fix the problems. They confirmed that whenever I was able to bring it to KL service center, they'd fix everything under warranty, including replacing the swollen battery but Malaysia reopened 8 months after my warranty got over. They never ever tried to do a remote diagnosis on my laptop, while I had shared everything through email and in Selenite Thread here as well. They kept blaming Tongfang's design but didn't accept responsibility for complete lack of QC despite them advertising 48 hour stress test on each individual laptop.

Yes, it is still facing GPU Power Limit throttling problem. Meanwhile, I haven't read about a single instance of this issue on same GK7CP0S model from XMG, Eluktronics or Xotic PC, etc.

Means you didn't send in your machine within warranty period la. How you expect them to replace free for you.

They told me that they'd replace it WHEN I WAS ABLE TO REACH KL. They never asked me to ship/send it for diagnosis nor did they try to fix the problems remotely. I was and still am using it for work and shipping it internationally means I'd be out of work for 2-4 weeks easily. It is one thing that a product develops some problem over-time and it is a completely different issue if the manufacturer sold a product with serious problems known to them only since they don't have any QC.
