As for me, my OG (CFL/1060) Onyx is actually still around but it's on backup duties now. Currently main-ing a QC7/MAG15/"New" Onyx (CFL-R/2070MQ) so yeaaaa.

Yeah, I hate to say this but I would like to join this train too.

Still has 1st gen Onyx. Every year, there's always a problem, from keyboard to battery to BIOS. It's like every year I need to go to Damansara and get it checked up.

Recently, handed in this laptop before my warranty expired, already told them problems like constant BSOD (even though its not the KB5001330 update, or I put it wrong) and upon turning on without charging, the laptop would switch on but the screen is not light up for a few seconds....then shut itself down before re-start itself properly. The only way I can avoid the 'switch on problem' is by keeping it charging at all times even when I'm not using it.

When taking back this laptop, the guy said it has updated the BIOS, quick reset (which I kinda prefer full reset instead) and should be okay. One week later, BAM! BSOD COMES AGAIN!!
Even my 6-year old HP still stands strong.

I was thinking of getting a new Illegear Onyx pro with 11th gen this coming June. But seeing the comments here, i am thinking twice. Should i go for it?

Inm thinking of upgrading to the onyx G with ryzen 7 and rtx3070.

Is illegear a good quality laptop brand? How often do u encounter issues with your laptop hardware wise?

Currently using dell inspiron from 2015 iirc, so far the laptop quAlity is superb, but nowadays sometimes encounter software instability. Other than that its been good. Wanna upgrade coz gtx1050ti cant do shit now 

One more thing, hows thr after sales service of illegear, like parts availability and speed ?

I have a problem with usb hub that is connected to the usb type C port.

The problem is that the usb type C is always on. Even when I shutdown or hibernate or sleep. For those other usb type A ports, they are power off when I shutdown or hibernate. They are power on when in sleep mode.

I saw of posts on internet that there are PCs which have CMOS settings for it, called "usb always on". But I cannot find such settings in my pc CMOS.

I want the type C port to be off when I hibernate or shutdown.

Is the battery compatible with Onyx 1060? Or does anyone know which one to get from Taobao?
