Thanks for the link Azim.

I would like to ask is the yellow colour option missing from 'User Mode' when choosing keyboard backlit color a bug?

If say my Onyx (i7 1050Ti 8gb ram) suddenly shutdown unexpectedly with battery % around 60% ish i guess and goes directly to 0% (wouldnt power on unless i plug in charger & after switch on back battery shows 1% charging) , what could be the problem? bios ? or battery or something else? i was running adobe software though but nothing heavy rendering occur, just simple copy paste stuff. Please enlighten me on this

Hi lim,

Can you send me your serial number and invoicing name? It's our first time hearing such issue, and it's very weird. Will arrange a time for you to send in for a check.

Hi cts0418, yes it should be fine for you to operate the laptop with the lid is closed and so far, we haven't received any reports of overheating from customers. However for you to configure the correct settings, I would recommend for you to follow this guide to choose the appropriate action once the laptop lid is closed: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/choose-what-...laptop-lid-does

Greetings.

I was kinda planning to buy this laptop (planning to replace my now 4 year-old Z5) while there's still that PAP sales.

Heard that the stock blue cap 1 was clicky and all, and also that the brown cap 2 was more silent. The, there's also blue cap 2 version. Umm, a bit confused, what's the difference between those keyboards? Especially that blue cap 1 and cap 2.

Would be also possible to get the Type A power plug (I plan to use it in Japan, since Im gonna work there soon) for the power brick?

Hi ARCDisrupter Yes, the Blue switch mechanical will have a more tactile and clicky feeling while Brown switch mechanical keyboard will be more silent. By default, the Blue switch keyboard comes with Cap 1 keycaps and can be upgraded to Cap 2 keycaps. The difference between Cap 1 and Cap 2 is that Cap 1 will have a squarish design and Cap 2 has a more curved design comparing to Cap 1. And Brown switch mechanical keyboard comes with Cap 2 keycaps by default. Hence, the Blue switch mechanical keyboard has the options of Cap 1 and Cap 2 (Cap 2 as an upgrade). At the moment, we only have UK type power plug that comes with the laptop by default.

Does this laptop use the same power plug as MSI/Razer pre 2017?

Debating between this or the MSI GS75

I believe we have shipped out your order earlier this week and a modification is no longer possible at this stage, truly sorry about this!

We have yet to test the laptop's compatiblity with the MSI/Razer charger but should you wish to test it out with the real Onyx, it can be done on our showroom, which is located at Oval Damansara, KL. Kindly find the location to our place by using this link https://www.illegear.com/contact/
