Reporting in as a new Onyx user. Got it with a RTX2060 and a 8750H. This baby packs quite a bit of heat eh? My processors registers up a max of 99 deg C and GC is at 85 deg C. The rest of you seeing the same numbers?

What kind of load?

Try undervolt CPU+GPU, also ramp up fan speed (modify fan curve)

Does it have TG paste applied
*
First thing before doing all those, are the temperatures too high? I read somewhere that 8750H has a t junc of 100 deg.

A bit high, if you need help in undervolting, PM me

t junction is just a max limit, you should keep CPU and GPU under 80C (my preference, CPU has higher tolerance though)
*
Btw, it does have TG applied. Hence i was wondering if these temps are normal. Haven't tried undervolting both CPU or GPU before though. Any guidelines?

BTW, mine has BT connection issues with my xbox controller. When i am using the controller leaning back in my chair with the controller on my lap, it disconnects. It's better when i have the controller situated right in front of the laptop though. Anyone has this similar issue?

Hi wookp,

Can we check your laptop with your xbox controller? Is your laptop working with other Bluetooth devices?
*
I have not tried with other Bluetooth devices so far. Will give it a try and feedback later.

Undervolted my 8750h to -0.15mV. Pretty stable temps at approx 85-90 deg C during gaming. Anyone went lower than this on their 8750h?

Anyone from Illegear that can answer my query? Does my Illegear Onyx have the option to run on Gsync when i connect it with external freesync monitors? Because for now, I can't seem to find that option even though i am connecting to 2 freesync monitors.

Thanks.

If your monitor isn't compatible , you can force enable it

Found out the issue. I need a freesync monitor with display port to display port connection to work with G-sync. The monitor i have does not have display port. SMH.

ILLEGEAR COMMAND CENTER doesn't required UAC confirmation when loaded up.
You may check the windows UAC setting by searching UAC via windows search bar.

The thing is, it's happening to my machine. And there's nothing to check on UAC.

I reinstalled and now it's no longer prompting the UAC. However, i notice that the program does not automatically run when windows starts. Is this correct?

Hi Illegear,

I bought my Onyx less than a tear back 8750h with RTX2060. I normally have it plugged to two monitors (One HDMI another on displayport). On heavy gaming sessions when the temperature goes up, the displayport goes off. This is not observed when i have it on idle doing less strenuous things like Spotify or browsing.

Any help?
