Need advice.
Currently my Iriz front tyres is showing symptom of bald on the side thread; uneven wear on tyres.
Another symptom is vibration and noise when going through uneven roads/potholes.
Sent to SC and was quoted to change below items:
1. FR absorbers ~RM1.1k
2. Stabilizer link RH, LH
3. Stabilizer bar bush
4. Steering rack ~RM1.1k

Due to budget constraint, I plan to change one of the items (either 1 or 4) quoted depending on which is more severe.
Is it compulsory to change all together at one go?

I see, i guess still no suitable bulb for the hyperflash issue. I remain using it because its so bright until ppl cannot complain cannot see my signal light haha.

I retrofitted fog lamp to my 2017 MC version coz that version also no longer offer foglamps, but the bumper still got allocation.

I see. Coz i see from shopee the Philips LED i bought  it mention 12 months warranty so didnt bother to ask for it.

Thing are a little bit different between your car and mine which is the current version.

Newer iriz using H7 light as well and high light
Seems like they are also workshop that claim they "upgrade" the gearbox using parts from Mini Cooper version of the transmission.
Is it true? Since like one cant really open up the gearbox and check if there any parts are upgraded or just some lip service.

Hi everyone, have been a year since I last logged in. Forgot password and glad I managed to recover it.

My Iriz is 1.6 Executive 2015 and the other day, while trying to park I stupidly langgar the concrete in parking lots Bandaraya built to plant tree (I don't know what to call it).    Front bumper on the right side got scratches and a few of the bumper pins (I think) came off. That part got settled in the workshop. However the under engine cover was completely broken so had to remove it.

My question is, is it okay/safe to drive the car without the under engine cover? I was told to buy it from spare parts shop but I have been procrastinating because I'm afraid the shop tipu or asks more question that I don't even know the answers are (I'm a lady lol)

Do you mind sharing pics of your retrofit foglamps and where did you get them done?

yes, it safe to drive w/o this cover.... not all iriz version came with under engine cover

My iriz is the 2017 MC basic version, appearance wise its almost exactly like the 2014 version because the bumper is the same, just some chrome parts become black.  just remove the covers and fit in the OEM fog lamps. I buy from shopee and installed it myself. Only the wiring harness a bit tricky because there is no readily available socket thus need to wire a bit.

1.5k for base model and I went to the top end model costing nearly 3k.

There few model but only selected projector would fit onto ori mounting (they would cut abit to mount it)

But for what it is quite worth it since i often drove at night.

No idea if JPJ will kacau since it is proper projector and not the silau type of drop in LED bulb.

Thanks man! Yeah.,that's way over budget for me. Guess I'll just adjust by upgrading to H11 bulbs for now

At least your version came with a projector.

Mine with reflector which I think it sucks lol hence why i decide to do this upgrade.

Sharing more updates on this anxiety-inducing thing:

Took to another aircon specialist to double check, he didn't try to smell it but based on my explanation he sealed up my external recirculation and plugged a potential leak in the cooling coil hose entry from the engine bay. Basically troubleshoot external smells and seems like external smells wasn't the issue after all.

Tested it again in traffic today and to no avail, the smell is still present... So I tried again in 3 different scenarios:

1) In traffic light traffic (idling + motion), aircon off, blower on: Smell is there somehow, previously it wasn't (as per my first post)

2) In traffic light traffic (idling + motion), aircon off, blower off: Smell is still there somehow

3) Idling in empty road (no traffic whatsoever, idling few minutes then drive off), aircon off, blower off: Smell is there


IDK if my mind is playing tricks now, but with the aircon and blower off, the smell seems to eminate from the centre console, the smell is not so obvious in the driver's seat without the blower/aircon on

At this point, I'm not even sure if it's an aircond issue. Could this be a handbrake or brake thing? Or... CVT clutch burning up? Since idling and motion sweat.gif
