If you want to do online transaction, then it's not possible at the moment.
You can only use the card to swipe like normal credit card.

Maybank seriously need to buck up their services. I just got my replacement card for the past 2 weeks and when I insert the card at every petrol station, it got declined everytime.

I'm going to change to Public Bank tomorrow and take advantage of their new Mastercard.

Not again? If it is, then it would be the 3rd replacement card. Besides, their Visa Debit cannot be used for online transaction, afterall.

so you guys have attempted to do on-line transaction before i believe..
but i don't know what maybank really means in their FAQs about their debit card
regarding its general usage

Q1. What is Maybankard Visa Debit?

Maybankard Visa Debit is an enhanced ATM (Automated Teller Machine) card. It can be used to withdraw cash from ATMs, and at the same time is accepted by merchants displaying the VISA logo. It can be used to make purchases at merchant locations such as petrol stations, grocery stores, retail stores and restaurants, including overseas merchants and even on the Internet. When Maybankard Visa Debit is used to make purchases or cash withdrawals at ATMs, funds are deducted from the customer’s account, directly accessing the money in the customer’s account.

Maybankard Visa Debit carries a 7-year validity period and renewal should be done before the expiry date indicated on the Maybankard Visa Debit.

Don't bother about the FAQ provided by Maybank. The card won't allowed you to perform online transaction. Don't even know the 3 digit number at the back at the card is for what purpose also.

But why there is an impose charges of withdrawal of money in Maybank ATM machine? Shouldn't it be free for the MBB card holder at Maybank ATM machine?

QUOTE
Will there be any charges imposed by Maybank for the Maybankard Visa Debit?

4.0  Transaction via ATM*
a. The first four (4) cash withdrawals in a month at any Maybank ATM - Free

b. The fifth cash withdrawal and thereafter in a month at any Maybank ATM** - RM0.50 per withdrawal***

** The fee will be debited directly from the customer’s accounts at the end of each transaction.
*** Fee waived if the respective account has a balance of above RM5,000 at time of withdrawal.

Isn't that whenever we used the same card at same bank... its free of charge when we do withdrawal transaction?

Nobody telling me this instead the bank officers also didn't explain about the charges. sweat.gif Wonder if the user of MBB didn't go to online check the FAQ about the card.. hmm.gif every transaction charged RM0.50... accumulated....till hmm.gif

For a normal user like me, if my account didn't have the balance RM5,000 inside and everytime I do withdrawal... the deduction will keep minus RM0.50 in my account eh.... shocking.gif shocking.gif
