I would recommend Maybank debit card. Very convenience to withdraw money, no charges involve too.

Nope, don't need your parents IC if you have meet the T&C. Document that you need to bring like, IC, Passport/birth Cert, printed application form(if you apply online). I think that's all if I not mistaken. |

May I know whether the retail transaction mention by PB Visa Electron include petrol purchase? And the old visa electron also can enjoy the similar benefits (annual fees waiver after spend >RM1200 annually) which offered by current Visa Electron card?

U may need to confirm wit MBB. darkdevilray, the merchant should not be charging u 2%-3% fee as its not a CC. In fact if not mistaken, MBB would only charged them around 0.7% only as MBB need not give cardholder credit term as it is DC. Plus DC holder needs to key in their PIN no for the tranx which is normally their ATM pin as well. hope it clarifies. |

I have both the Maybank Debit card which doubles as ATM card & the PB debit card.
The Maybank Debit card is convenient and gives treat points too BUT you WONT be able to do ANY online transactions although they told me it is in the works now (which means in a couple of YEARS it can be used for online transactions... Plus point is there are No extra charges for anything and no annual charge Maybank debit card has no minimum RM requirement other than the RM1 you need to maintain in your savings account As for my PB debit card... I LOVE it! Hahaha! First year NO annual fee but unfortunately, 2nd year onward they charge RM24 if I am not mistaken. Plus points is you can use it to verify paypal (because I pay for memberships and games with it) and make online purchases and payments (I have bought Singapore airline tickets with it once! You MUST maintain a minimum of Rm25 on the card though. So, if you want to spend RM200 you must have RM225 on the PB debit card. NOTE FOR RE-FUELING car:::For fuel on EITHER debit cards, I used both with NO problems BUT I did it by going straight to the counter indoors to pay with the cards. NOT by swiping it at the fuel hose place as you need a minimum RM2xx and it takes DAYS to verify and deduct... Inconvenient. Personally, I recommend you get both especially if you want to avoid getting a credit card If you only want ONE card - get PB debit. If you want two, get PB and Maybank Debit cards With both these cards you don't need to bother with ambank, eon bank or other bank debit cards~ |

Yup I'm thinking of getting the tune card too.Now using Ambank NextG but the monthly fees is RM3. And charge you RM 25 for the starter pack! If for Tune card is only Rm 9.99 yearly. Just apply and collect at the nearest post office. |

I am also looking for any card that can add a secondary US billing address as well. Some online merchant don't accept Malaysia credit card.
Amazon allow different billing and shipping address. For those that accept google checkout, you can link it to local credit card and add a US shipping address. I have not problem doing so and ordered from irobot successfully. QUOTE(caerulln @ Jul 12 2008, 11:55 PM) |
