Was watching EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE on Astro Ultrabox today. They seems to be cutting out scenes and muting profanities on HBO Ultrabox Ondemand movies. Even profanities are being muted.

Oddly when played back on HBOGO app, it's uncut. Have they decided to start chopping up movies again on over the air transmissions?

If you are expecting uncensored content, don't stream it through Astro's Video On Demand library.
Instead, stream on HBO GO or elsewhere.

Seems weird, seems like using google TV OS multiroom apps to watch Astro channel.

If that the case all live sport will have some delay? Like EPL, F1 etc...

Satellite will be best choice for no delay in live sport?
*
QUOTE(jusbella @ Feb 20 2023, 11:06 AM)
Earlier I ad know about this. So in summary using IPTV fibre / multiroom apps all will getting delay.

The best one will be using satellite right?

Those who don't mind about delay can use multiroom apps without the satellite then.
*
QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Feb 20 2023, 11:09 AM)
yeah. The delay is not much tho, around 30 seconds (unifi TV's delay is around 1 minute++. Gile). so if you don't mind a half a minute delay, the multiroom app is good enough
*

Absolutely satellite is the best option if you don't want live broadcast latency (if it's delayed due to censorship then it's another different story) sweat.gif

Therefore, my simple piece of advice is, if nothing stops you from using satellite dish, then no need to think about Plug & Play, just go ahead with satellite.
Plug & Play or Multiroom Smart TV app is meant for those who cannot or don't want to use satellite dish due to various of reasons.
QUOTE(ycs @ Feb 20 2023, 10:16 AM)
recently, i cancelled my subscription, but in account summary, it says 'Card status: Suspended only'; is that normal?
*

Either way, they're not charging you anyway. Why bother? hmm.gif

Both can support it
the differences is the Ulti box goes up to 1080p where as the Ultra Box can do 4k

Seems that Astro multi-room/plug and play/Astro Go has a new CDN server added for better load balancing.

Was using Astro GO in the office, and some channels were having issues. Office firewall shows some were using a new url and were not in our whitelist. sweat.gif

In any case, Channel 803 and 804 is now on air

They are still using Amazon Cloudfront, but new tier servers to handle the traffic, and some new URLs too I think.

Usually you won't notice much if you are watching stream of normal channels. But during weekend when there are big EPL match, there can be some slowdown if the CDN are overloaded. Might want to ask people who relies on Astro Go to watch football matches since I am usually using satellite for those

At least from today as it is not there yet as on yesterday.

But then there are ads before the start of livestream so it would be better to just access the stream via RTM Klik, which is available instantly or even better, via linear platforms (MYTV DTT/Astro Satellite).

Not sure for Unifi TV during the match as they did not hold the rights for the match (which has to be checked later).

Also, it’s 720p on sooka’s mobile & website. So better stream it free from ads on RTMKlik instead in full 1080p quality.

For Unifi TV viewers, well, we’ll see. As this EPG of TV2’s Unifi TV feed states that it’s ‘likely’ to be aired. But I highly doubt it, my theory is that Astro is the host broadcaster of all Liga-M tournaments, and RTM is the broadcast partner.

So the best advice the Unifi TV social team can give to viewers is to encourage them downloading RTMKlik on their Unifi Plus Box to watch Liga-M matches there. Expect high traffic of visitors streaming the channels on the app though, just like when FWC Qatar 2022 occurred back in Nov 2022.

I just noticed that Astro has officially added the Smart TV/Multiroom app to Google Play store, and not just limited to any specific TV model

Any google OS TV should be fine with it.
