It's fake, cause I saw the edit history (on TA-DAA wikipedia) and it was "bocil astro" said that TA-DAA didn't shutdown and just moving the channel number.
I saw this clip somewhereAstro Version 13A, All about Astro Malaysia offerings

i just watched "Scary Movie" on Showcase just now, the amount of censored scenes, unnecessary blurred (short skirt) and cut were horendous until no longer enjoyable movie to watch.
BBC give Cbeebies free watch on thier website even for World News, Astro take them and ask you to pay. This post has been edited by sonypshomer: Jan 16 2023, 02:00 PM |

Well, it's Astro. What do you expect? It's like you're watching it on a local TV station in Thailand or Indonesia which had even stricter censorship (blood greyed out, weap0ns censored, etc) Why do they even rate the movie as 18 when you know their censorship has nerfed it into a so-called P13 movie? Redundant. This post has been edited by XypherionID: Jan 16 2023, 03:24 PM doubleM2 liked this post

Viewers put the blame on Astro, and then Astro will put the blame on country's censorship guidelines, saying that they are required to comply them as they are a "licensed broadcaster". It's like you're watching it on a local TV station in Thailand or Indonesia which had even stricter censorship (blood greyed out, weap0ns censored, etc) Why do they even rate the movie as 18 when you know their censorship has nerfed it into a so-called P13 movie? Redundant. Anyway, would it mean that the newly revised programme ratings to be enforced next month, could mean more lenient censorship? Otherwise, just watch the movie elsewhere, be it legally or illegally. I think some people are used to how open western medias are, compared to Asian ones https://www.koreaboo.com/stories/korean-tel...-major-targets/QUOTE Weapons such as knives are always censored on broadcasts. While large swords in ancient dramas aren’t blurred, small knives that are intended to be used as weapons in certain scenes are blurred out. The Korea Communications Standards Commission has issued a censor for anything that might cause excessive shock, anxiety or disgust to viewers. At least we can still see TV programmes that features knifes and sharp objects on Malaysia TV. And of course, those won't be as rated U here. So, it seems that Malaysia's censorship guideline is not among the worst out there doubleM2, RalphRatedR, and 2 others liked this post
