I'm using CM extremePower 430w right now to power my 8800GTS~ and its stable~ laugh.gif
*
but it don;t have the PCI-E molex, how u connect? Using converter? CM extremepower only supplies 29A from both 12V rails added, quite risky. sweat.gif

Now I got a question, let say normal usage, is that we can combine 2 rails, such as one 18A and another 18A, can I use 8800GTS in that case? Single rail with more than 25A cost hell lot of $$ sad.gif . so can combination of 2 12V rails accepted?

18A+18A = 36A, more than 26A requirement. Correct me if i mistaken, but most PSU has lesser than 20A for single 12V rails, need to combine i think
its ok, better than the other non-OC brand biggrin.gif
and the fan is cool too, using CM fan  cool.gif

There is two versions of CM eXtremePower 430w, one is RS-430-PCAR and the other is RS-430-PCAP.

Mine is RS-430-PCAP, so it has PCI-E power connector.

ic..my one is old version

since my PSU dun hv the PCI-E connector if i buy 8600GTS, does it got 6-pin PCIe Molex power convertor??

prime stress your cpu. try doing 3Dmark for few loops. that will test the stability for your card

Anyone knows where can i get (or is it already here) the Galaxy 8600GE here in Malaysia? This card is tempting with Galaxy clocking up the speed of the 8600GT to match the speed of the 8600GTS.

well, for budget priced, galaxy and palit both do their job very well, palit is well known at over-volt on core and mem, and galaxy has nice coolers and good OC history (remember 7300gt with zalman brows.gif )

I think both the brands mentioned can easily beat MSI, which I dont find anything special except with the bundled package.

The thing is, i have read some specs on the 8600GE and it matches the Core/Memory speed of the 8600GTS. If it was here and roughly around the price range of the GT, i will definitely get that, sacrificing the Zalman cooler as i have a Zerotherm lying around..

actually, the normal galaxy/palit pre-OC'ed card has alrdy the stock clock at 600/1600, I am now OC it at 680/1800... very close to gts stock

but one thing i afraid is, the GE version won't able to provide more headroom to OC anymore, so it can by far matching the GTS at stock. Since u ll need extra molex power to bring the card further.

Yea, that should be a main concern. How do you feel about the card?Worth the money?

I am just worried that this card might not be able to handle the new 22" LCD i am ordering. Thats why i am still in doubt..
