Well, for me, i just focused on getting a good fan for my rear exhaust to help push out all the hot air. Hopefully when i get a side panel fan to suck cold air for the GC, it is able to lower the temperature even more...

Installed COH yesterday, tried to push everything to MAX. No AA. Resolution 1650 * 1050 (Widescreen).

Using the game performance tester, only got an Average with min. FPS around 10fps and max is around 60fps. Average at 26fps..Is this even normal? I am starting to feel my processor is dragging the performance of my GC down..

every1 is pushing the limit of thier gpu ....

even i have 8800gts, i onli use it on my 17" lcd and onli playing dota and RO online =.=

Well, the reason is, there is no point in getting a good GC without fully utilizing its potential. In my case, if i were to stick with my 17", i could easily play good games at MAX setting with either the 7900GS or 8600GT/GTS. There is no need to play using 8800GTS..

no time to test for load coz already very late for work

i definitely need to either get a bigger case or mod/ change my sidepanel

well its not necessary to set everything to maximum

Have u disabled vsync for COH?... i heard the new patch has enabled vsync as deafult (afaik previously COH doesnt enable vsync as default).

To disable it, juz add at the icon target
"C:\Games\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCOH.exe" -novsync

Yea, even 7600GT would be sufficient for that task on a 17" monitor.. lol

My god ..What happened?72c on idle?Thats like very high indeed..Anyway, you are using the GT casing right?Airflow should not be a very bad problem..

Well, i was actually testing it to see how well it could go. So i turned everything to max. The result is really shocking to me. Anyone else tested COH on their stock 8800GTS?

I am not gaming in MAX anyway but if the card is able to handle, why not..LOL..Is there by any chance my Proc is bottlenecking the card?Would OCing it bring me more fps?

cant be helped ler... my friggin room is hot due to bad ventilation...think i need to get the sidepanel with mesh and the side patent fan to help cool things down

IC..Maybe its bad ventilation problem i guess. I also dont have side panel fan though but my rear exhaust fan is the FM121.Maybe its helping..

idle at 72 really high wor............but still no problem for 88 i guess........normal operating range, side panel exhaust wont do much good if u deprive ur GC of fresh air intake.......it mught just get worst

Why not open the side casing then? Would cool down a lot!

Guys, I need some advice on the 8800 GTX. I'm planning to get one in 1-2 months and wanna ask those with the 8000 series on which brand would be the best.

waah all of u can run COH wif ur 8800GTS??i alredy using 2 diffrent brand of gts, still the game wont work properly..using Asus, the game cannot be load...hear the sound but no pic...and wif BFG,somehow all the screen turn to yellow and hear a sound..no figure of any 3d object appear...is there any fix or patch for COH??

it seems that ur temperature is the same wif my secondary gc...70~76C...better have a look at ur casing ventilation...

dun wan....the amount of dust in my room is murderous. the heatsink will be clogged in a few weeks!


i think my case ventilation is actually fine.... its my ROOM ventilation thats a problem. my room gets really hot even at night oso can sweat if aircond not on... and theres no ventilation..all windows are ALWAYS closed..coz if raining no one at home to close and theres the mosquitoes somemore

what is the maximum sustainable temperature for 8800GTS/GTX? Its like having 70C at full load is pretty normal... but will it kill the GPU die?

if HD2900XT can handle 90'C.. why not 8800GTX

I didnt use any patch though..Playing fine without any trouble. Would it be driver problem? I am using 158.22...

LOL...Try ask sniper69. His previous 7300GT can even handle > 100c..

If yers really aircond split-unit, thats really comforting to know its quiet enough for me coz im quite picky in terms of noise

Btw, weird abt MSI 8800GTS OC here, doesnt comes with COH, considering SG has it bundled (coz i thought its juz asia region only, apparently its juz here )... hmmmz...

Anyone knows MSI HQ tel.no in KL?..

hey anyone have an ultra?? superclocked or ACS3 or any overclocked version??need to know how hot when idling...

rite now using version 94XX version..maybe will try later using new driver...
