Just compared with crv top specs...beside powerboot, we have more features in x70...but our adaptive cruise control is primitive.....

CKD price may drop, but often quality drop too?

Don't be disappointed if CKD price will be either same or very little reduction only.

Localisation is going to start at a very small % & the small volume would mean cost prices will still be higher than if imported from China.

Historically (using Inspira as example), first batch CBU price = subsequent CKD, with CKD having nicer facelift and/or more goodies (usually trims). Historically also, CKD quality drops (Vs CBU) but Geely has been working very hard to improve Proton Tanjung Malim QA/QC. They're yet to reach Geely standard of QC but close. Still far away from Volvo QC.

Personally, if Geely continue to be hands on at Tanjung Malim, there is hope for Proton improvement as Geely plans to use Tanjung Malim as the global RHD manufacturing plant, hence QA/QC is crucial especially for exports.

Yeap, and if you guys noticed, coming persona facelift all follow Geely standards, all will be coming out good products. Perodua market shares will be shaken.

According to China site. Fuel tank was pop down a bit so it easy to hit.

Campro already history long ago, now is VVT engine. Much better fuel consumption and performance for current Proton Model.

And of course don't compare to Perodua and Proton. Apple and Pear?

Comparing previous Saga Campro engine and current VVT engine. You'll have a clearer picture of it.

And also for Proton until today still adsorbing SST, which is very good for all buyers. I can see a future in proton as the market share increasing.
