normally allocation queue based on LOU yes. And a lot of dealer who has high in volume normally cheat stock. Actually HQ know it, just close one eye because they are one of the main supporter.

don't be surprised, sometimes I encounter friends ask me to compare toyota Vios and Perodua Myvi.

sometimes people comparing within their budget, some people comparing within the size.

Even same engine but different body will affect a lot in FC.

Mass, driver behavior, acceleration, how many passengers, tyre size, tyre air, bodykit, engine tuning and etc.

Even if you can direct compare the SUV, the result ain't right for different variables too.
*
Do you even believing them?

End of the day, they will change bigger rims and add bodykit for their Myvi or Vios..

That will be nothing to do with fuel saving already.

Nope. 1 ear in 1 ear out. In the end just depends on individuality and their likes and don't.

One salesman told me only 10000 units are cbu. Then the rest will be cold from tanjung malim.

But I also heard booking close to 20000 units. Will it be 20000 units cbu now?

Initially only mentioned 2000 units cbu, but until now plant still can't comply with manufacturing of X70. So they keep importing instead of ckd

I wouldn't consider paultan a good comparison as they never mentioned how they test their FC (I wouldn't even consider them as professional automotive reviewers, more like a mixture of humours, advertisement and casual test).

A more reliable source would be real fuel consumption app like fuelly.com or "small bear" app which the china people use.

A quick look into "small bear" app, filtered by (compact suv, transmission = auto, engine type = all)

Average from all owners:
Place no 7: CRV 1.5 turbo  = 8.24L/100km  (1910 users)
Place no 34: Subaru XV 2.0 4wd = 8.77L/100km (78 users)
Place no 125: Boyue 1.8TD = 10.84L/100km (4095 users)

If this app is reliable, difference between CRV and x70 is likely around 2.6L/100km.

Just a rough calculation to share:
Assuming one drives 24k km per year (Malaysian average driver per year, 2013), assuming fuel price RON95 RM2.2/L (RON95 max price)
X70 will need to spend 624L more fuel than CRV, which equals to RM1373/year.

However, of course you have saved at least ~RM30k already with x70.
BTW, I am not a X70 owner, but just trying to give some data to clear some arguements here.

I more believe it will stay. Otherwise other brand need to revise their price.. Or otherwise all other brand same class suv will hurt sales.
