Was that the reason TM Unifi was so aggressive promoting their package to lock in customer for 2 years since Nov'2017?
Hoping for a 20Mbps / RM65 unifi

Guys, need some help.
I got my parent house a Unifi. The tech guy installed a new modem today, but the dsl light keep blinking even he didn't know what to do. The old streamyx modem connected just fine however.
What to do?

Even he didn’t know what to do? That’s a surprise. But you mentioned Streamyx modem is okay? Did he try changing to a different VDSL modem?

From what I know, streamyx and unifi is different. Unifi is using fibre and needs different hardware than streamyx. Means you're not using unifi now. Correct me if I'm wrong

Yeah, he tried another VDSL modem, same result. Guess the VDSL connection isn't on or something?
My parent said he'll come again tomorrow.

Yea, you're right. Streamyx is ADSL, Unifi is VDSL.
But the thing is, the DSL connection on my streamyx modem shows faster downstream/upstream connection than before.
Means there's a Unifi speed capability there.


Before, it was like only 2k downstream and 500+ upstream.

Is unifi tv down ?

Think you need to call up 100 to get some clarification. I know streamyx modem can't be use for unifi. So most probably they gonna send technician over the rectify the issue.

u use unifi@ftth or unifi lite@vdsl?

What is the admin password for Dir-850L on firmware 2.09TM? Trying to help a friend here, it seems TM technician change the default password from blank to something. Tried a lot of combination online but unable to login.

Thanks... Found out the password is below the router. All the google search turn out saying the password should be blank or some random admin@mac address.

Tried now its down.. got an satellite icon at bottom right corner.

i dont mind paying RM500 penalty and resubscribe to RM70-RM100 30mbps unifi package....

Well, if that day really comes sooner. I don't think we will sit down and do nothing. I will complain to MCMC for unfair treatment, what's the rationale for TM to force us to pay wirh higher prices when they already lowered down the prices later?

Not like I never tried before.

I think we should be more concern if whether or not ISP will introduce 1001 measure to throttle the connection or introduce quota limit when price lowered.

IF 20Mbps with RM65 unifi, everybody will immediately subscribe with no further explanations.
