So do I need to have v6.6.7?
In v6.6.6, I got the Wallet menu but there's no feature to switch region to Malaysia.

i think its only necessary if u want to increase the upper limit of your wallet, similiar like vcash

btw seems like only accepting debit card for now

Not really, I'm on v6.6.6 and I'm all set for the Malaysia Wallet, are you on an activated China Wallet now?

In the Wallet, try looking for the four square thing or check three dots to see if there's any possible option to change the region.

Mine is 6.6.6 version, with China Wallet activated. Log off and then log in, switch to Malaysia WeChat Pay message appear, click upper right icon to switch over.
Activated and top up with BigPay.

No you can't. Taobao needs AliPay, they are under the same company. WeChat Pay is the competitor for AliPay, so Taobao will not be allowed to use competitor product on their platform.

I also cannot have Malaysia wallet, I already have China wallet which I do have a couple of transactions over there earlier. Logged out and logged in doesn't help. laugh.gif

According to the popup page in WeChat, the money in our WeChat Wallet can be transferred back to bank account. The scenario is, if somehow some bad guy got out phone and somehow know our password, so he can easily transfer the money to his bank account. If we perform the personal info verification step, then the wallet money can only be transferred back to our own account, and not any other account. It's security purposes la.
