I'm using the new firmware. It's so much better then the V11 that came with my phone. Major difference is with the GPS, locks onto satelites so much faster, but also uses alot of data streaming, better sign up for unlimited data package first or it will cost a bomb.

why ha when i take da picture nearly its kinda blur? n9 have auto focus right?

Hey guys, i've got some questions and i hope someone here can help me on this.
To update to the v12 software, what must i do? What important things i should do? Is there anything wrong with this software? Any precautions b4 updating it? How long does it take to update?

Maybe i'm just a little paranoid, but i wanna make sure i don't lose something in the process of updating it...thanks to whoever who can help me!

if you're planning to take closeups, use the macro function.. do not use auto for best results

Just create backup from ur phone memory to ur memory card.Battery should be full or connect charger into phone.Then you are ready to go

Depends on your internet connection. The file size is about 100+MB. The chinese thing has been fixed in this new v12 FW. You would probably need to re-install you Java applications. For sis applications, no need to re-install. To be safe, back up your phone memory onto the memory card and use PC suite to backup contacts and calenders also. Just to be on the safe side.

that is a bad idea.. i had mine back up with that method and i cannot restored back. After numerous attempt only i able to restore back. Better sync to your PC first to avoid disaster.

MX510 - U r from myviclub? The only way to update firmware is NSU Nokia Software Update. Albeit when u update it said u have the latest firmware it is becoz the product code of ur phone is not in the update list. To update it, u may need to amend the product code to other country example APAC, Indonesia or EURO so it can fooled the NSU to let u update. To amend the product code u need to use NSS.
