I'm planning to get this marvelous phone next month. 7 more days to go, Yuhuuuu!
Due to budget, I'm thought of getting an AP set of N95. So I just curious whether AP set can use GPS or not? and does mapasia provided for AP set?

Thank alot!

This can be resolve by changing the product code to other country by NSS. Then update it through NSU. Just my doubt which country product code can be use for Malaysia? As I can c only few country can update example India and the Euro countries.

Who would wan to leave out the trends as we have the modernized phone? Hehe! No offence!
Just trying to fulfill my curiousity.

BTW the new version of V12 have enchanced alot features.

The features that I can c
- The gallery scrolling move smooth and efficient.
- The GPS locking also fast albeit without using the A-GPS
- The speaker seem louder
- The old V12 problem of mulitmedia button malfunction after recurrent alarm set solved.
- The WIFI connection seem more stable as it doesn't disconnect that often.
- Camera switching more faster

The weird thing I found
- The playback button will lite on when the screen going dim/off
- The camera would have line/noise when in dark/low light enviroment but after capture no more problem.

joshuawong,

Can you help to explain the old and new V12 firmware? Is that a typo or there is a newer V12 firmware?
*
As I know there's 2 V12 firmware which the old one has removed out.
The old V12 can be noticeable where chinese character were used on internet call n as the new V12 is using the english character.

Hope u understand wit my poor english smile.gif

Really? Updating now. last night i noticed, even while charging and the phone is off, there's still that eeeeeeeee sound. I got the sound on both v11 and the old v12. currently upgrading to the v12. hopes everything went smooth
*
Do u think the unit has problem with power circuit. I encounter this problem on my ex motorola V3x, it has sound of eeeeeeeeeeeee everytime the keypad light is lite.
I think u need to send to SC.
I never encounter this problem on my Nokia N95.

er...the legal way ... i download V12 the legal way too a few days ago ... dont know why some refer them as unofficial ... i download through NSU without changing any product code too.

As I know the update of V12 firmware is limited to few product code. Hence for those who can't update are required to amend the product come to continue for updating. smile.gif

I'm not sure u guys realise this or not.
As I'm going for a trip to Cambodia soon n I wanted to bring along my N95 for map guidance.
Thus I try to download the Cambodia map wit maploader V1.1 and I found out that the map is not on the list of Asia region same goes wit some other country.

Then I use the older version of Maploader V1.0 and the map are available sweat.gif luckily still can download the older version from other opensource.

Wat an enchancement they made!

EP650 is a good Headset. It come wit few sizes of ear buds for better listening as it will vacuum up the sound and reduced the outer noise.

I used that b4 but not on my N95 but on some Creative MP3 players as my company do sell Creative products. Hehe!

Where to download this new firmware? current in Nokia site is not the latest
*
MX510 - U r from myviclub? The only way to update firmware is NSU Nokia Software Update. Albeit when u update it said u have the latest firmware it is becoz the product code of ur phone is not in the update list. To update it, u may need to amend the product code to other country example APAC, Indonesia or EURO so it can fooled the NSU to let u update. To amend the product code u need to use NSS.

Hope u understand!
