Hi. I am new here.
Compare with MYR3100(not net salary) and SGD2400, which one is better for fresh graduate?
I'm graduated with Bac of Computer science.

RM3100 at KL? If you're not from KL and working in either KL or SG will mean you have to leave your hometown, by all means go for the latter.

Last I checked there's no benchmark age by when you should do your intern or complete your college.

Let me provide some comments since I was in a similar position as you. Only difference I came to SG with slightly 2 years working exp in malaysia and salary was higher .
I think you could live well maybe not too comfortably with sgd2400. Assuming you rent a room outskirt or the city at the cost of sgd700 (assuming non sharing). Food wise let’s make it sgd1000 , transport sgd100., phone sgd50.
May I ask do you have any commitments eg, car loan etc in malaysia ?

Car loan RM 550
Others RM300

I roughly calculated my living cost and commitments, I may save SGD 400 monthly. But if i stay at Malaysia, I only can save RM500 without any entertainment and shopping. I also worry I leave my parents alone after I go singapore and I think I wouldnt work at Singapore til retire.

If you want to build up your career and more spending power . Take up the offer in SG. But if you work in KL, u gonna leave your parents alone too. No difference on that between KL and SG.

Good luck

this is too subjective. like TS said, want to take care of parents. have to see what are their age. are they working? when they retire?

and who knows over the time u work in sg, u found someone there. singaporean. may not consider to come back

some of my friends and families, they get more and more commitments while working at SG,
I.E. buy nice fancy cars, luxurious condo and etc.

In the end they are trapped at SG forever, separated from their family. Because coming back to work in Malaysia just cannot support all those commitments with the way lower salary here.

So need to be careful on that.

But if you are planning to work till retirement, consider all I said as bullsh1t tongue.gif

Haha yes many of my friends faced the same situation too. Just simply couldn't return due to high commitment.
