If your basic is RM2,400 and you have a prorated 13th month bonus salary equally divided to every month (meaning RM200 bonus)...that means your monthly gross take home is RM2,600.

Usually, when you go and negotiate with another company for a new job and you are comfortable with disclosing your current salary...will you say RM2600 or RM2400?

How will this usually be stated on the payslip every month?

RM2400 - salary
RM200 - bonus

OR

RM2600 - salary

QUOTE(off_shore @ Apr 2 2018, 01:05 AM)
Just tell the truth (some companies do background checks). Tell them monthly salary and the benefits which includes the 13th month. They will know how to offer if they sincerely want you.
*
Can choose to include your epf as well, some get 17% interest monthly, and annually it adds up

Our company doesn't have overtime payment policies, so the 12k is the basic only. But I guess they factored the 'work hour' in haha

no if one day there's no new projects coming in, then you might be the first to let go?

hard to justify still, 4 years experience with 12k. nonetheless, very good for you rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

For 4 years is fine. For age maybe can consider jumping

Are u ready for new technologies? Have u been practicing and keeping up to date with new technologies?

Working in international school, may limit your knowledge and job scope

Going into mnc could be overwhelm for u. Maybe I'm wrong

age : approaching 30
Industry : telco

Highest paper qualification/ education background : Diploma in IT
salary : RM 6500 (included increment this year)
benefit : 13 month salary + dental allowance 1 month RM 100 (can claim back to salary) * 12 RM 1,200
bonus : depends on company this coming month 1 month

- involved new project, no work from home, need to reach office before daily meeting and still small size company even tough is growing

is my current pay is norm or underpaid ? at first my increment was just 10% and i voice out my concern and eventually increase another 20% so is 10% + 20 %

the next increment will be less than that 10 % (my boss said so since i was getting huge increment)
*
let me analyze.

a full stack developer, going into 30s for 6.5k with diploma.

last update was 2k difference for the past 2 years and potential lesser increment since last increment was 30%

you have to ask only to get increment, else i think if dont open mouth will only take 10% only

i'd say u can do better, but u have to prove your full stack skills is worth it. else diploma is one of the reason HR might lowball you
consider go huawei, they pay well
