Good but nothing to watch even I got it free for one year under Apple product.

There's a v1 and v2 of the new remote? What's the difference?

Thanks! No wonder the remote I ordered for my Shield 2017 was slightly different than the one that came with my Shield 2019. Couldn't figure out how to open the battery compartment until I realised the arrow was a button. Can't say I noticed the other two differences haha

There's also one more difference that wasn't noted, the thickness of the plastic shell. The V2 is just a smidge thicker, so it doesn't feel as hollow when you tap on it.

I very much prefer the V2 remote.

Astro OTG still not working on Shield after more than a year is a big bummer. Would have liked to stream sports...

Can't sideload Astro go apk? I used last year during MCO which free for all.

I did, used a number of APK versions. Newer ones won't load at all, while older ones you can get into the app but loading the shows will only have sound no video...

Just saw the year release for each Shield TV (2015,2017,2019) and will there gonna be a 2021 version ?

Two years launch that was before Covid. Now maybe diff plus chips shortage everywhere.

As expected, Shield TV probably will be getting Android 11 or who knows they might surprised us with Android 12..😉
Recently, they hinted that they are working on the next 'big' update release.

If they came with 4K UI and Google TV interface, I will buy. I know some don't like the recommendation and see it as advertisement, but I superb love it as it fill up on I not sure what to watch and it look pretty.

strange.. I have been using astro go sideloaded from aptoide version for almost two years now...still no problem whatsoever

My shield when skip chapter sometime no sound especially with DA. I try swap few hdmi cables also same n even try change hdmi input port on avr also same. Any sifu can advise what's the problem or i miss out some settings.tq

Iinm, for US server VPN is only needed when login but for playing latency is the issue.
Even though i don't use GeForce Now but i've login to US server before this..

To access to Singapore server(no VPN required):
1. Logout from GeForce Now on Shield TV
2. Re-login & key-in the PIN @ https://geforcenow.com/login
3. Once successful login, click on 'Show providers for other regions'
4. Scroll down & choose 'StarHub'
5. Follow further instructions...

..but before that need to register & subscribe membership with credit card at https://www.gamehubplus.com/geforce-now

Need to be more specific on your setup..
Is it happening on all apps or only certain apps?

If yours is Shield TV 2019, try disabling Dolby Processing but i think this will disable Atmos on Netflix app..

There was a good explanation by Nvidia on how this thing work & when to use but i can't find it now..😅
