Am still using the shield TV 2015 which I got with both the controller and remote. Used the controller for around 1.5 years before it started failing. Then I started using the remote which also lasted for around 1.5 years before also failing.

Started using Harmony remote 665 since 2018 which is still in use today, and sometimes use the shield or android TV remote on my phone too.

Manage to syn but my tv remote can only on/off, n control the volume only. Wonder whether can control the channel setting n so for. Did i miss anything out on the setting.tq

What model is your Sony TV? Android TV or linux?

Once CEC is setup on both device, it should able to do basic navigation without any additional settings.
Go to Bravia Sync Settings>Device Control Settings & choose any available option.
Maybe control setings are disabled by default.

In my setup, i set to 'Tuning Keys' so that the numeric keys can be used to control Shield TV.
There is another option which is 'Menu Keys' that will set Home & other middle keys to control Shield TV but this will make it difficult to access TV's setting. The alternative way will be by using SYNC Menu button & choose TV Control to access TV's setting.

i just bought this G7BTS bluetooth remote, to replace my shield 2017 remote as alternative. and now its became my primary remote due to easier to use with numberpad + keyboard + IR.

pair with bluetooth, set the IR( got 4 button for IR), then can use edy. i use IR to control my TV since my TV is very old, dont hv CEC.

Thanks bro for the info, greatly appreciate, now working like a charm, earlier i didn't turn on the Tuning Keys that's why some key doesn't work. Anyway my Sony tv is 2020 model n both my shield tv pro n tv is Android 9.

Bro, how’s the switch activity response time for your harmony?
I have the remote with harmony hub. Only annoying thing is sometimes switch activity delays like 4-5 sec or had to press button again just to confirm

In your case there's probably issue with signal interference between USB 3.0 and BLE.

Go to settings>device preference>system>USB mode & set it to Compatibility Mode

Do note, this will downgrade the performance of the USB port..

Is it really that easy to clone the internal hdd to ssd as seem on u tube.Do we need any special software to clone it.tq

Supposed by now all 2015/2017 Pro model warranty should have expired unless you are referring to warranty provided by local seller..

..or yours is 2019 Pro model which does not have HDD..

only 2015 pro that come with HDD inside if i remember correctly.

Mine is 2019 pro model n got it i think about a month times n is it 2019 is without the HDD type, sorry newbie.

The 2017 Pro model has the same specs as 2015 Pro but packed with new Shield Controller.

Yup, the new 2019 Pro only has 16GB storage and does not have HDD inside but can still expand storage with adoptable storage feature.
It is basically repackage of STV 2017 16GB model with upgraded CPU, remote & new features(DV, Dolby MS12 & AI Upscaling)

Recommend to use SSD as adoptable storage for best performance and only expand storage if you really need extra space for apps.
For videos or other files, better to use NAS or HDD as removable storage.

Meaning the 16g of storage is build in n therefore there is no moving parts inside the nvidia tv pro except the cooling fan.

Pretty darn fast, as in I don't feel like there is any actual delay due to the Harmony itself. just that the Shield can take some time before responding to input (but the home screen is already visible and the AV receiver and display has obviously changed input too), but I don't think that's due to the Harmony as the android tv or Shield android app also takes some time before the shield starts to respond when this happens. Although this doesn't always happen, perhaps around 60% of the time.

Same thing happens when, say I'm on the HyppTV STB input with TV HDMI1, and click an activity to activate the Shield which switches to TV HDMI2, AV receiver to a different input, and the Shield to wake up. No actual delay.

But then again, I'm using the 665 which is a really bare basic harmony, only supports IR which is why I'm hoping the next Shield supports IR again as they removed it

Your issue might be due to the remote needing to relay the info to the hub before it starts working? Looking through Amazon reviews there are people who are either really happy or really frustrated with their Harmony Touch/Companion/Elite etc...
