I wish unifi gave me this instead of that stupid dlink which spoil less than 3 month use!!! Is this also loaded with unifi custom firmware?

from my experience D-Link DIR-850L can run for months without have to restart the router.

C1200 came with latest firmware preinstalled. with maxis plus other vlan profile included.

Yeah, depending on your area, there may or may not be adequate stock of better routers from TM. So unfortunately, we either have to rely on it as is and hope all good or cough up extra money to get a better third party router.
Have 2 units, one is almost 3 years old and the other is almost a year old.. Max Wi-Fi speeds even via 5GHz remains at 2xxMbps, which is sufficient for my wireless devices. Other network intensive devices are wired and receive full 500Mbps. Fingers crossed mine doesn't go kaput. So far so good..

heard from TM on-site support staff that the unifi installer must have different brand and model of wifi router ready stock and available, if not, go get them from their warehouse, customer should refuse the installation of unifi fibre if another brand and model of wifi router is not provided.

Yes.. I agree.. At least for new installs.. That's fairly obvious.. However, I was referring to repeated replacements for those who keep experiencing hardware troubles. Either way, yeah..As long as within warranty, it's TM's problem to replace.

I used to have & use the DIR850L. Worked fine, no random reboots as far as I could tell....only downside is the subpar wifi signal strength and coverage.

D-Link DIR-850L only have internal WiFi Antenna, the WiFi Coverage was pretty limited.

Internal antennas not always mean limited Wife coverage/performance. They're routers/APs with good coverage/performance eg TP-Link Deco M9, D-Link DIR-868L, Ubiquiti Unifi UAP etc.

yea right. but their price range is another level.

Archer C1200 V1 unifi 2.4ghz wifi range was around 2X or even 3X better compare to DIR-850L B1 unifi.

DIR-850L B1 unifi 5ghz next to router close range speed max out at around 130mbps,
while Archer C1200 V1 unifi 5ghz next to router close range speed max out at around 200mbps.

these are speed test with single wifi antenna smartphone with max connected speed @ 433mbps.

hi, does the new revision of TP-Link Archer C1200 with new TP-Link Logo and new unifi Logo instead of TM Logo still suffer from random reboot, auto restart, or any other common C1200 issue?

it's still the same version of Archer C1200 v1.0 , came with 1.0.0 Build 20180403 rel.22124 (EU) firmware preinstalled out of box.

thx in adv.

i just install Unifi Biz 100Mbps Super Treats @ RM139/month at 27 September 2019, for around 2 weeks usage and testing, my Archer C1200 v1.0 unifi doesn't suffer from the usual random reboot issue.

He is asking about WDS.......US firmware has WDS hidden as well after all. blink.gif

EDIT :

Sigh...let me provide the US V1 Beta firmware and see if users can "reflash" back to EU firmware......

Hmm?
You mean after tftping the US Beta firmware, then still can't tfpting back to EU beta firmware? hmm.gif

In that case, for you to regain those eight 5ghz channels back = you gotta go through the hard way, gain root access (terminal stuff) and modify the country region. I think I posted about it before.
