Apparently current EU V2 firmware is a customized openwrt build. Are the V1s as well? I can’t check as I no longer have mine.
Is TM still giving out V1s only?

QUOTE(westernkl @ Mar 20 2018, 02:26 PM) I don't care slow speed transfer, as long as can extend USB ports. No worry, my this USB Port has extra power plug (DC 5V) for more juices... Should be no problem with external power but really depends on TPLink's firmware. On my Mikrotik router, I use a powered USB hub to connect a USB GPS, thumbdrive and a 3G USB modem. No printer as the Mikrotik doesn't support that.

QUOTE(Alex9182 @ Mar 25 2018, 01:08 PM) Archer C7 V4 where to see up time, can not find it. Possibly don’t have also. Seems like display of system uptime was left out of newer firmwares. If your TPLink has SNMP, I believe you can still get it from there. C1200 dun have SNMP, C9 got, C7 no idea. This post has been edited by soonwai: Mar 25 2018, 01:34 PM

QUOTE(Elvin7 @ Mar 26 2018, 01:15 PM) Just fixed unifi 30 and Tplink C1200 was provided. May i know if there is a function to schedule on/off the wireless? Unfortunately no. The closest thing to achieving that would be to use parental controls.

QUOTE(taqu @ Oct 10 2019, 04:33 PM) Internal antennas not always mean limited Wife coverage/performance. They're routers/APs with good coverage/performance eg TP-Link Deco M9, D-Link DIR-868L, Ubiquiti Unifi UAP etc. Yes, but giant eye-protruding antennas makes it seem more worth your money.

QUOTE(4lt4ir @ Apr 18 2020, 03:52 AM) Can recommend better router in the same or similar price range? Tenda? How about D-Link, would you say they're better than TPLink? I see some D-Link haters around the net, too. I'll look up Mikrotik. Are they compatible with Unifi & HyppTV? Yes, compatible with UniFi & HyppTV, Maxis, TIME. You can even have all 3 simultaneously running off one Mikrotik if you wish.

QUOTE(4lt4ir @ Apr 18 2020, 09:23 PM) Thanks for the info & recommendation. From the little googling that I've done on the hAP AC2, the price is reasonable although not strictly cheap. Also, I noticed the router's UI looks a bit...dated? It's bereft of all the nice UI elements from the mainstream router brands. I have no doubt it's very powerful though. Is the barebones UI found on all Mikrotik routers? Yes, it is. The same OS is in all Mikrotik routers from the RM50 ones to the RM10000 ones. Yeah, I know, it doesn't look pretty. Not many design elements, just information. I'm using the hAP AC2 with UniFi 800Mbps. It's very powerful for a RM300 router. One thing though, Mikrotik's wifi tend to suck. The C1200 beats the hAP AC in wifi performance. This post has been edited by soonwai: Apr 19 2020, 12:37 AM

QUOTE(bananabread @ May 5 2020, 12:38 AM) What's the biggggg difference? For me, it's the lack of vlan config and load balancing over my choice of 2 interfaces that precludes my use of consumer routers. Then again my Mikrotik is consumer-priced so best of both worlds, I guess.

QUOTE(Liuism @ Jul 20 2022, 11:00 AM) Can anyone advise how to configure the C1200 router as bridge mode so that the PPOE authenthincation take place in the JUNIPER SRX firewall? No need the C1200 already, just connect the Juniper straight to modem.

QUOTE(Liuism @ Jul 20 2022, 11:35 AM) Noted, but from the Juniper side how to configure? any clues? I did try before, but fail. Sorry but no experience with Juniper. Not sure if here got Juniper thread where you can ask but the basics will be the same, set vlan on the ethernet interface then set the pppoe client on the vlan.
