QUOTE(alifhezrey93 @ May 10 2019, 11:23 AM) Hi, How to drop the strength for Wireless (AC1200) router? Really headache when use this router, my house just small size , no need powerful wifi strength. It's under Wireless -> Wireless Settings -> Transmit Power:
I reduce the power for 2.4 GHz to minimise interference with my other 2 APs. 5GHz signal can stay at High as it's significantly reduced after 2-3 concrete walls/floor.

After few weeks in "dead" state (no Internet, no Wifi, no response), I turned it on again to claim new router from TM. Suddenly it's healthy again!
As I've already put another router in its place, it's now destined as first floor AP (family area & daughter's room) to replace a D-Link DIR-850L. Pray the best for its second life.

QUOTE(Cruxs @ May 12 2019, 12:33 PM) How to use hypptv box wirelessly? Dont want lan cable cluttering around. If you mean watch HyppTV from that box, not possible with C1200. Only D-Link routers or Powerline will do. This post has been edited by taqu: May 12 2019, 03:02 PM

The C1200 used to be my home router. Beside the super long boot time & occasional need for reboot, it was quite stable, decently fast & decent coverage. Now running as upstair Wifi AP, I'm happy with it. You can get 350 mbps Wifi speed close by, and 80 mbps after 3 walls. Still on stock firmware

My C1200 went dead sometime ago. Then it magically went alive again. Then it's recently dead again.

QUOTE(Alpha_Tay @ Oct 7 2019, 07:30 PM) D-Link DIR-850L only have internal WiFi Antenna, the WiFi Coverage was pretty limited. Internal antennas not always mean limited Wife coverage/performance. They're routers/APs with good coverage/performance eg TP-Link Deco M9, D-Link DIR-868L, Ubiquiti Unifi UAP etc.

QUOTE(soonwai @ Oct 10 2019, 05:45 PM) Yes, but giant eye-protruding antennas makes it seem more worth your money. Not to mention spider-legged routers LOL

My C1200 had been rock stable after firmware update. Now it runs as my 3rd NAS & Wifi extender for my outdoor IP Camera.
