No, technically they won't, although it's harder for them to check battery health if you're on an older OS.

So you guys did it at Machines? Because I asked mine local store just now they tell me to restore to latest iOS before send in. hmm.gif

I think those shopping mall service centre outlets are all opened today, though no idea if you’ll need a prior appointment.

I just hand over my phone to Switch in Sunway Carnival (Seberang Prai Penang), the guy insists that iOS update is a must and they can't do repair if I don't agree to it.
I also replied that other service centre and official Apple store can replace without upgrade, but he said it's Switch procedure to update it.
Too bad there's no other Apple authorised repair centre in Penang other than Switch.

I sent my iphone se for battery replacement at Switch Bayan Lepas yesterday but seems like until today they still didnt call to take it. I thought they only take few hours to change the battery sad.gif
