You’re right, X-One is a film type and I tried it on my ex-Note 8 and it was horrible though. It kept lifting and it became grainy after a couple of weeks.

i would suggest dont get the iphone at singapore. just wait for Malaysian launch. Unless u already purchase at online apple store waiting for pickup. they will refresh the stock at 4pm and 11 pm for tomorrow pickup at orchard road. keep on refreshing F5 at their checkout. Put the item on the basket and make sure u fill in the CC earlier and hafal the CVV CC code. The time windows for u to finish everything will be around 5 minutes. I have previously missed the 11pm due to the problem putting billing "address in singapore", however, i kept on refreshing after that and at 11.20-11.25pm i managed to order the item again with pick up. No MSOS code was needed (malaysian maybank CC) unlike the courts (SG) where we need to fill in the MSOS code.

Anybody want a direct tips on ordering from apple store (SG) for pick up at orchard can PM me.

In reality, Apple’s production supply is enough to fulfill the demand, only scalpers are making it difficult for genuine buyers who really want to own the iPhone X.

Or the other conspiracy theory is Apple intentionally releases stocks in batches to create this shortage scenario

Yes very possible, I remember during the original iPad days where it was always out of stock but some insider info mentioned there were actually stocks in their store room but they release it in batches to create hype.

I've been using iPhone X for a week. I only have 3 main grudges:

1. When lying down on bed, with half face taking a peek on my phone the Face ID won't work

2. When driving, with 1 thumb I can unlock and take a quick peek on the phone. Now cannot dy, must put up direct to face - very dangerous

3. Put the phone too close to face, the Face ID won't work. Must put it away a bit

You can increase the sensitivity to unlock(face id) the phone by going to "General", "Accessibility", "Face ID & Attention" then turn off the "Require Attention for Face ID"

Anybody eyeing to get a leather case for their X?
Tempted to get 1 for formal usage. I like Burkley cases, but wished their case covers the side buttons and the bottom corner extend a bit more... Their wallet cases would be interesting as well since the inner case is detachable.
