true, but can be the 3rd party authorized SC has different policies than apple. normally they have different level of partnership in which some levels dont have to follow 100% the policies set by the principle. i dunno. but as long as people know they can contact apple careline in case of any issue, perhaps these 3rd party SC can assist sending the overseas set to SG.

last time i bought imac from apple my online store, they still need to send it to SG when i sent it for broken hinge. i guess our local SC has very limited parts thus they 'prefer' to reject warranty claim at the first request.
*
Yeap true. They can accept at their own discretion since they are third party. Still unfair though. It's made most Malaysians have the misconception that Apple doesn't provide International Warranty and that a "Malaysian model" is worth more than any other original Apple product from a different country. Oh well...

btw does anyone here enjoys truetone display? it looks a bit too warm at time...yellowishhhh

Yes, and apparently the iPhone X will have better truetone due to a better sensor allowing the phone to decide on a more accurate tone.

Hmm. This is a lil confusing as the other day, I watched one of the review, they say it’s weird and require an update to fix it.

To me I am fine. Since it is not all the time yellowish but depending on environment.

It is actually quite comfortable to look at.

Mind to share which iphone model was that?

u can find it here bro https://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/
lets say

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Nov 8 2017, 03:23 PM)
It has always been a known fact among Iphone owners that there is NO INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY on iphones. I have made a claim with a SG unit of Iphone 6 with Mac City before and the staff at Mac City told me that they are doing this on a good will basis only and also provided my unit was a Singapore Appstore unit. If it was a Sg Telco unit, they wouldnt be able to help me.
If you check your Model code, There is a MY for Malaysia, SG For Singapore and HK for Hong Kong and so on and so forth at the end of your model number. For example MH4D2MY/A
*
im being told by mac city people that sg set can be claim at malaysia
since the malaysia set came from sg
even if you send it to warranty it will be send back to singapore
since malaysia dont have apple store...
i even email them a few time asking for solution, call apple few times already
they said they cant help with this since it was our policy.
they said if HK set can be claim at malaysia
the replacement will be malaysia set if that happen it will be easy to change phone region,
and they said again it wont happen even in future.

so japan iphone x can only claim in japan? model A1902
*
Yes bro A1902 is japan model. u only can claim warranty at japan apple store

QUOTE(raptar_eric @ Nov 8 2017, 03:47 PM)
personal experience, i bought 2 units of iphone 7+ from HK, 1 of it faulty camera... i did brought to machines for a claim, they replied me same email 1 hour after i passed to them, i directly called up apple, logged a support case with the ticket #, i passed the ticket # to machines, and they processed the claim without any issues smile.gif

i did clarify with apple support, warranty is based on region according to them, msia sg hk aussie, all can claim cos same region...
*
please see here https://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/
HK SET have many model bro if you within same model as malaysia
it should be no problem smile.gif

im sharing my experience only is up to buyer to decide,

things i do go mac city , machine, macstudio finding solution = fail

call apple few time even made appeal = fail

the last way is go back to directd and ask them send to HK to replace and it cost me more money

But I presumed we can't check for the Iphone X model now for Malaysia as officially it's not launched yet here.

The X's front facing camera has "TrueDepth" which includes an infrared camera, sensors and light projectors capable of perceiving depth.

-Wide lens is f/1.8 on both, with optical image stabilization (OIS)

-Telephoto lens is slightly faster on the X (f/2.4 vs. f/2.8)

-Telephoto lens has OIS on the X only

In short, meaning that you can start putting up your 8 + for sale now.  whistling.gif  laugh.gif

Exactly. We've been made to think that Apple doesn't provide International Warranty when in actual fact, its just the third party service providers (Machines, Mac City, etc) who are refusing to entertain us. I could easily claim warranty for my iPhone bought in Malaysia in foreign countries (i.e. US, UK, SG). It's just in Malaysia where the problem arises due to the unavailability of an official physical Apple Store.

When is Apple going to have a store here. Blardy Machines, Mac City are growing like mushrooms and I am sick and tired of seeing them. However, there is one place in Malaysia and a high profile mall that has yet to open its doors which is non other than the KL Echo City Mall.

Apple is SP Setia's largest office tenant in their Bettersea project in London. I hope the power in SP Setia can convince them to finally open their first Malaysia Apple Store. So damn fedup depending on SG our smaller neighbor when our markets here are bigger.

Like I said on my theory before, our market is determined by Singapore side for the past few years. And that's the reason why we have a price similar to Sing dollar compared to previous where we are more likely to follow USD pricing. Thus, we can only get the apple store if Singapore said so. Or else, we will stick with those "premium reseller"

And please don't blame GST.
