Exactly. We've been made to think that Apple doesn't provide International Warranty when in actual fact, its just the third party service providers (Machines, Mac City, etc) who are refusing to entertain us. I could easily claim warranty for my iPhone bought in Malaysia in foreign countries (i.e. US, UK, SG). It's just in Malaysia where the problem arises due to the unavailability of an official physical Apple Store.
When is Apple going to have a store here. Blardy Machines, Mac City are growing like mushrooms and I am sick and tired of seeing them. However, there is one place in Malaysia and a high profile mall that has yet to open its doors which is non other than the KL Echo City Mall.
Apple is SP Setia's largest office tenant in their Bettersea project in London. I hope the power in SP Setia can convince them to finally open their first Malaysia Apple Store. So damn fedup depending on SG our smaller neighbor when our markets here are bigger.
btw mountain tortoise is hokkien direct translation of sua ku or kampung people never visited apple store orchard, but visited apple store macau. and got my 6s battery replaced there(1hr done vs 1week waiting for QCD/other AASP here)
Yes, they always have to order from Singapore. And Singapore's side logistic isn't terribly efficient either. It takes about 3-4 days to reach here and one day for them to repair. So it is always about 1 week.
I don't know why it is so surprising, with the amount of effort that they say needed. If only they had said a picture is all they need then that would be a different story.
I believe on-the-spot replacement also subject to stock availability in which most cases they will say no stock to replace and suggest to head to an authorised service center.
Yup, no guarantees if going to their exclusive partners. Best to deal with their direct stores to avoid these potential headache.
Got a chance to play with the iPhone X yesterday. I say the screen is amazing and I am not even disturbed by the notch at all. I could still use one hand to pull down the control centre and swipe to home screen easily. I am already liking this better than the home button already.
The only thing I don’t like is the side looks it can get those micro scratches very easily. Definitely not recommended to be use without casing.
after randomly going into stores just for fun, it seems that the 256gb is sold out most of the time compared to the 64gb. so it seems people are getting the 256gb, or that they just have a lot of 64gb stocks
They need to bring back 128GB model. 64GB is too little for 2+ year phone users and 256GB is overkill even for phone gamers. Not sure about those who love to take selfies and videos though.
HEIF/HEVC format of storage which is much more efficient
HEIF/HEVC is the latest format so compatibility is going to be an issue. JPEG is still the best when used with 256GB lol. Whatever format doesn't matters when share on social media.
I took a lot of pictures when I was overseas but back and a month later my camera has been inactive. Seriously I have been thinking what should I be snapping on in my daily life.
LTE can be refer to 4G, but 4G cannot refer to LTE WiMax is 4G
so LTE and WiMax is 4th Generation technology, and 4G is just general term as 4th generation technology
i dont see any problem telco showing 4G instead of LTE/LTE-A, when both LTE/LTE-A is 4th Generation technology maxis show 4G long ago, no longer LTE
GreenPacket at that time opted for wimax before the standard was finalized and it cost them heavily. Anyway nowadays I think 4G is synonymous with LTE.
hoda is great. just a few simple wipe and all the smudges are completely gone and I have been using it for like 7 months now? no longer do I have to use a damp cloth to clean my screen.
